I repeat: Justice is not equal here in Mendocino County. Bruchler is a cold-blooded killer. Did he ever think of a restraining order? He's like Jack Nicholson in " The Shining".
I repeat: A jury can only decide on what evidence was given to them.

I grew up with Billy...he was a nice, gentle kid, and a real scholar in school. I would say that meth and alcohol changed the course of his life forever. That said, he's served his time without incident, and needs to be released. Eye for an eye? Maybe you need to move to the Middle East!
Remember Gary Bruchler, who killed kis son in cold blood with an ax handle? He had friends in the right places, and only did 2 years on manslaughter charges. Justice is not equal up here in Mendocino County.
i'm sure you would be singing another tune there ukiah local if this man were a family member of yours. he's not even one of mine and i did not even know this man, but i guarantee you this if this snyder guy were a family member of mine i would make damn sure i was at EVERY parole hearing. he would do LIFE as my loved ones received!

We don't need a killer in the community stirring up problems and emotions on both sides of the family etc. I don't care how good he is doing in the prison system. This man took a life, made some very bad choices. He needs to stay where he is for the rest of his life. Sorry Mayfield family. No breaks for Billy

I know both families, and share the same birthdate as Mark Snyder. If a guy like Gary Bruchler got only 2 years for killing a person, and Mayfield serves 24 years for the same basic crime, then it makes you wonder about having friends in the right places. Bruchler was a " good guy". Let Mayfield have his chance at parole. He's not the same person who entered prison 24 years ago.

Restraining orders don't do much good most of the time.
I have friends who have known Billy and love him, and I have friends who have known and loved Mark. I know Mark from school. A great guy. I know his parents and sisters and brothers. Billy made a choice, he was angered, out of controll. He chose to get the gun, get into his truck, drive to Marks', break in through a window. The message, don't do the crime if you don't WANT (CHOOSE) to pay the time.
Billy had time to regroup. His choice was made.
Life isn't equal across the board. Jeffery Domer was probably a nice guy to the people he liked(in relationship, not for dinner)Had he not died in jail, would he deserve parole one day if he had been a ideal inmate? NO. Were the people Domer murdered somehow more dead then Mark? Are you 29? That's how long Mark lived. Billy can live his life being a model prisoner. He can be saved, forgiven by grace through faith, and help others...in jail.
I am sorry but it is obvious you are missing some facts.
Before you go calling me a liar,,,,,, get a copy of the court transcript and READ it
1. Mark and Bridgett were in Billy’s brothers trailer not Marks house.
2. Bridgett called Billy that evening and demanded that Billy meet her there.
3. Billy went to the trailer at about 8.00pm and saw marks truck there and made a lot of noise and nobody came out.
4. Billy went back later that night and made a lot of noise and no lights came on.
5. Mark had a gun and pulled it first.
6. Billy left the trailer and drove to Willits were he called the Sherriff.
7. That was the first call that was placed to law enforcement.
8. The Sherriff did not believe Billy because no other call was placed of a shooting
9. Bridgett told me and other that WHEN Billy died she would own the business.
Mark laid in that trailer for one hour before help arrived.
Why did Bridgett wait one hour to call?
Mark was alive when the ambulance arrived.
If the call was made earlier he would have survived.
Now tell me if you were told to meet your wife at a trailer that did not look occupied but cars were there would you check it out?
If you entered your brother’s house and found a man in bed with your wife and he pointed a gun at you………What would you do.
PLEASE READ THE TRANSCRPT OF THE TRAIL…………
UNTILL YOU KNOW THE FACTS PLEASE RESERVE JUDGEMENT.
Enough is enough.
Let Billy out

I'm sure if it were your family member that was murdered you would be looking at it a little different. Yes an eye for an eye.(NO MIDDLE EAST HERE) What I meant by this is if you murder someone you better be prepared for what follows, and that could mean life in PRISON!! My nephew was murdered and I have a strong feelings about letting someone out of prison when they murdered someone under the circumstances that Billy murdered Mark.

Perhaps on that thread that you're suggesting that Gary Bruchler be bludgeoned by an ax handle by a family while he's SLEEPING!

No parole for Billy! Even if the board of prison hearings approved parole, Arnold will never sign off on it. Therefore, Billy will stay behind bars for another long four years until he comes up for review again.

And 2 people are very DEAD! 24 years verses 2 years? Obviously Bruchler's standing in the community as a good fireman and paramedic held weight. I wouldn't want him over for dinner anytime soon.

Remember Les Pfutzenreuter? Exposed himself and tried to break in to a young girls bedroom? He got off because DA Massini dropped the charges...because of his fine standing in the community. This is public record. I'd have shot him if he had tried that with my kids.

I see no benefit to have a murdering parolee released into our county. Don't know either of the men involved in the orig. crime. We have enough lowlifes in our midst, let this one stay in jail.
