It never fails, someone always wants to put some type of blame on the victim. This young man knew he was doing wrong, just didnt' count on being killed while doing it. Very sad indeed, some family has lost a loved one. But it was his choice and Brandon's to decide to steal. Price must be paid. Maybe this will wake Brandon up (the one who ran and was arrested).

Once as again good. You do the crime you do the time. You come try to take what's mine u will face the punishment. He was a dumbass for stealing in the first place. I know Steve feels horrible for shooting the guy but he had to defend him self. He sent a message to all u crooks and thug wannabees. I would done the same
Sad for everyone

Unfortunately Jesse struggled everyday to "keep straight". He was given ample opportunities to change his and his child's life, yet he took the easy way and chose to be a criminal. Although her certainly did not deserve to die, he made the choice to commit a crime and never considered getting caught (or dead). I hope this serves as an example to others that eventually when you commit crimes, the consequences could be more far reaching than just jail time. I am sorry for the victim and his family since he is truly an innocent person simply trying to protect what he worked hard for.

wow! So, instead of defending his property form thieves and protecting himself and his property which had been broken into for the 4th time that day since March of this year you would have him the property owner be charged for unlawful detainment or possibly kidnapping. Let's see how you react when someone is trying to take what is yours and you have worked for given the same situation. Yes, it is sad that a child lost a parent and that a family is burying a loved one but from all the evidence of this young mans life and I know some that ran with him in his life of crime he was given chance after chance to change but chose not to do right. So, when he walked into that business in Reidsville to steal from them he was taking his own life into his hands and thus the result was him being shot while committing a crime.

I understand protect your property or defend yourself but when the man is shot in the side of his back that don't really sound like self defense.it really seems like it was a little more anger and payback to for the recent thiefs..in the end when you do wrong you can't expect good things to happen
