OKAY THIS IS HOW I FEEL ABOUT THE WHOLE BIG ORDEAL. I THINK THAT THE JUDGE NEEDS TO BE MORE CAREFULL AND NOT ONLY THE JUDGE THE JURY TO BECAUSE THERE ALWAYS LOCKING SOMEONE UP FOR SOMETHING AND THEN HALF OF THE TIME THERE SITTING THERE FOR SOMETHING THATS NOT EVEN TRUE

The DA dint do her job the right way, it was her first murder case. Yes El-Leek Willams is my 1st cousin but its also sad to say that the jury let a murderer back in the streets..I believe that justice wasnt serve.

Why did they give his case to a nubee DA bet she didnt even do a full research of the case. Bet there was some conflict with the witnesses too she didnt make sure she had a strong enough case. Why didnt Soares prosecute it himself? Wasnt high profile enough? IMO I am sorry you didnt receive the verdict that would have been justice for Elieek.

This is definitely injustice and very disappointing to hear today's verdict. I am not familiar with the experience of the DA but through reading the blogs am understanding this was the DA's first murder trial. Murder cases are extremely serious and in no way should be an experimental trial!

In additional, today's verdict was not a good message to send to Albany's youth. I can only alarmingly imagine the increase in violence on the streets of Albany, because the youngsters will think that they too can get away with murder.

I am so heart broken about this case. Hearing the verdict was like hearing that El'leek was killed all over again. I honestly thought it would end differently. I know now what familes mean about needing "CLOSURE" I will never have that .

Im so mad about this sitution and i dont think the jury made a right decision for saying he is not guilty
el-leek was my brother Dushawn didnt have the right to do kill him el-leek was a good kid and a great brother im just so confused why he would do that and he was celebrateing his birthday i realy dont get how they made him not guilty and one of the witnesses that drove him after he shot el-leek got up there and said that she saw Dushawn shoot and kill my brother and then the next day he oferd 400 thousand dollars for her not to say anything and they still said he was not guilty now theres no way El-leek can rest in peace now

I really do not have a comment ...just that my heart and prayers are with El-leeks family. Such a trauma and not getting the justice you wanted for closure. Keep El-leeks name alive. Have a fundraiser and set up a scholar ship or something in his name. Maybe you could put on seminars about him in life and death. Make other kids realize how vulnerable life is. Just some thoughts..I know this topic is very raw for you all right now. God Bless you All.

That is a shame they let that boy go like that. I do not mean to say this but he better be careful of how he act in the street and what he said. It seem to me he is cocky with hisself i see alot of people get off and walk around like they r instoppable. But all i have to say is RIP EL-LEEK. KEEP YOUR HEAD UP TO THE MOTHER

I am sorry about the way things worked out.
But you can't go online and threaten people either.I am sorry my comment was offensive to you though.

Wow! I was shocked and saddened by this verdict. I thought the girl's testimony would be the clincher. To El-Leek's family, I am a firm believer in what goes around, comes around and his murderer will get what's coming to him somewhere down the line. The courts will probably see this young man in the future and he won't be so lucky or the streets will take care of him unfortunately.

I agree with you Boy oh boy.
I did some reasearch on the case,
and wow,this sucks.
Justice was not served for the deceased.
But i agree with you in what comes around goes around. So hopefully, the murdereer's
will get their's too.
I am glad i did some research on my own,
now i am more aware of the case.
And am saddened for the family.

Kaili I am glad you went back and researched this because sometimes we get caught up with posting and dont realize there could be some really raw emotions waiting behind the scenes. I personally knew this young man El-leek he was a family friend to my son and daughters and my grandchildren he did not deserve to die in that manner. His life was cruely and cowardly taken from those who loved and adored him.I see his father every day his mother on ocassion when she is either looking to contact my son or at the lot where we will no doubt meet again to plant flowers of love for EL-leek may you rest in peace.

Thank you .
I too am glad i did some research.
I really did not mean to upset anyone, and when i read the lady's post i was embarresed of myself for not looking deeper here.
Especially being she was related to the victim.
I hope she accepts my apology.
I feel horrible about the whole thing.

Kaili you did the proper thing by coming back and addressing the matter you have done all that you can do for now. Just be a little more cautious and do your research before you post to certain topics okay? Like I posted he was a beautiful young man was nothing like what you see out here now. Young men with very little respect for others as well as themselves. IMO May god bless you Mrs Banks and keep you strong as well as the rest of your family.
