Burnley Moran is not a middle school, it is Elementary. Buford is the only middle school in the City. If you mean Burley Middle School--that is county. Wow get it straight before you report!

And 125 middle schoolers got beat up by other students on their way home from school. Let's ban fists while we are at it.

You may joke. However, the NRA would suggest the only solution is to give each kid on the bus a BB gun. I hardly think that would be a better fix.

So, perhaps there might be a middle ground?

The only thing that stops a bad kid with a BB gun is a good kid with a BB gun.

The letter did not indicate that a student was hit only that a BB gun was discharged. Seems to me that the parents are primarily responsible especially since it was an elementary school student.

Please tell me which NRA spokesperson said this and when, or where you can find that policy on their website?

Yeah, I thought so. Misrepresentation such as this is called fear-mongering. You are trying to get naive and uninformed people to believe that the Evil NRA is the cause of all of the violence in this country. That is why we cannot have a rational discussion about it - too many people injecting lies into the conversation to try to stir up emotions.

If you want to reduce gun violence, round up all the illegal weapons currently on the streets first. Until then, there is nothing to talk about. More laws will just make more criminals out of law-abiding citizens, and we don't have enough prisons as it is.

Funny, isn't it? As I am reading this story a video ad for XBox "Dead Space: Take Down the Terror" is playing on the website. It has a rating of M "Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Strong Language." Perfect example of why kids have come to accept senseless violence as the norm.

If you want your kids to grow up and play nice, stop feeding them a steady diet of violent images, and spend some time with them having wholesome fun. I am not anti-gun, far from it. But if their minds are constantly exposed to violence, it is unlikely that they will ever develop an appreciation for music, literature, the arts, or the natural world.

You're kidding right? The NRA pres was plastered all over my tv saying that very thing. I repeat it was verbatim....the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun! Perhaps you are the one who is uninformed.
I heard the NRA call for armed officers (adults) in the schools. I heard nothing about CHILDREN toting a BB gun on the bus. The video clips are all over the internet. Please find the clip you are referring to. Otherwise, stop exaggerating and trying to create high drama.

God I hope I run into someone playing a banjo while making sweet love to you so I can laugh! I was making a joke. What NORMAL kid has NOT been hit with a bb gun? Can the state of Virginia please ban braindead liberals or should we just spray for them?

These dangerous weapons are next on the list. Clearly, and once again, it is the weapon that made this possible.(After it's all said and done, you will need an atf tax stamp for your Dewalt air nailer! That is, unless you're black)

So What? BFD! When I was in middle school our version of tag involved shooting each other with a bb gun. No head shots allowed. Society has become a bunch of liberal pansy wimps belly-aching over the slightest discomfort. Toughen up America!
