Agreed. Joe Arpaio is just below human waste. At least human waste makes things grow. Arpaio makes them die.

In Switzerland, At about age 20, every Swiss male goes through 118 consecutive days of recruit training in the Rekrutenschule.
Even before required training begins, young men and women may take optional courses with the Swiss army's M57 assault rifle. They keep that gun at home for three months and receive six half-day training sessions.
From age 21 to 32, a Swiss man serves as a "frontline" troop in the Auszug, and devotes three weeks a year (in eight of the 12 years) to continued training. From age 33 to 42, he serves in the Landwehr; every few years, he reports for two-week training periods. Finally, from ages 43, to 50, he serves in the Landsturm; in this period, he only spends 13 days total in "home guard courses".
Over a soldier's career he also spends scattered days on mandatory equipment inspections and required target practice. Thus, in a 30-year mandatory military career, a Swiss man only spends about one year in direct military service. Following discharge from the regular army, men serve on reserve status until age 50.
Can't recall ever hearing of someone there going off their rocker and going on a killing spree, so obviously, it isn't the guns. That leaves the culture, which here has been on a down hill slide ever since the advent of the Great Society program.
As usual, whenever something bad happens, the first thing liberals want to do is punish the law abiding citizens, place the burden on them, instead of addressing the real issue and dealing with it.
Guns, drunk drivers, welfare fraud, illegal immigration, home invasions .... blame the victims, put the burden on them, coddle the criminals. That's our culture.

Arm em all and have a mass shootout. First incoming rounds, half of em would be slipping in the s--t running down their pantlegs. The U S sure has turned out to be a short man, short d--k country.

Is that actually a well armed militia? Arizona is at war with drug cartels and drug dealers. Assault rifles are a necessity considered what the are coming up against.

When was the last time the swiss had to engage in combat? The coutry is hardly a model of a perfect society; it's highly regimented and repressive.
Funny how this is somehow relevant, but when the gun-controlled England's gun violence is shown to be a fraction of ours, it's irrelevant.
<quoted text>
Yeah, and their population is a fraction of ours too, about 1/6th.

Oh, and by the way, this from a popular English news source:
"The latest Government figures show that the total number of firearm offences in England and Wales has increased from 5,209 in 1998/99 to 9,865 last year - a rise of 89 per cent.

In some parts of the country, the number of offences has increased more than five-fold.

In eighteen police areas, gun crime at least doubled.

The statistic will fuel fears that the police are struggling to contain gang-related violence, in which the carrying of a firearm has become increasingly common place.

Last week, police in London revealed they had begun carrying out armed patrols on some streets.

The move means officers armed with sub-machine guns are engaged in routine policing for the first time."

Even here, our officers don't patrol with sub-machine guns.

The constitution refers to a "well-REGULATED" militia, something a dullard like arpaio is incapable of leading.

Attention you bloated wolf tick!!! It seems you're chewing on sour grapes, scooter. Exactly what "federal law" are you hoping the high sheriff will break? Arming the citizenry is not one of them scooter...I highly suggest you spit out those grapes or stay out of Arizona…you’d look funny living in a tent wearing pink underwear and eating baloney sandwiches 3 times a day, scooter.

Attention peckerhead!!! Sheriff Arpaio runs an entire dept. and prison and he could run a militia, etc. Well regulated means well-equipped which is a no-brainer when it is exactly what's necessary for the security of a free state...you left some key parts out which is typical for a dumbfuk obamaroid.

IMO...Now that the brain-dead banana nosed panetta gave the thumbs up for women in combat he has obviously elevated females to the exact same level as men...
That being the case then it's also time for all women to register for selective service when they turn 18...Equal Rights? You Bet.

Yeah, I know, but the funniest thing is that they want to define the conservatives and Republicans. They say you are this, this and this when nothing is further from the truth, but they believe in their warped minds that it is true. What is really sad is that what Obama is doing right now is the best thing for gun sales. Like Obamacare, they just can't tweak or slightly fix the real problem, but instead they go whole hog shoving what we don't want down our throats.
Really?
"Say this this and this when nothing is further from the truth"

Wow, you finally got something right.

Yes, women should have to register for selective service, same as men. If we need them in a war they can all be drafted into the Navy & Air Force and the men all go to the Marines & Army combat units.

reg·u·late
1.
to control or direct by a rule, principle, method, etc.: to regulate household expenses.
2.
to adjust to some standard or requirement, as amount, degree, etc.: to regulate the temperature.
3.
to adjust so as to ensure accuracy of operation: to regulate a watch.
4.
to put in good order: to regulate the digestion.

It does not mean well-armed, you illiterate twit. Everything for you is a "no-brainer", but not the way you mean it.

Which parts relevant to this did I leave out?
