No matter what, armed and dysfunctional criminal low-lifes are always going to be a part of our society. So you people are going to have to learn to cope, or move to Blackhawk or similar. What I don't get is how they had TWO chances to shoot each other and still missed. We'd be better off if they were dead.

The rest of the shooters and persons involved were actually FROM Benicia.
SOOO much better than being shot by Vallejo Scumbags. Right?

People from my OWN community scaring the H--- out of my children?

Since when did Vallejo teach Benicia how to try to kill each other?

Vallejo Police have all but given up. Their morale is at an all time low. The City of Vallejo is becoming a "Black Hawk Down" situation in several neighborhoods. You must rely on yourself (situational awareness). You must practice defensive driving and defensive living.(365 credit)

When you come to a stop at a red light position your car so you don't stop next to a car full of people with loud thumping profane music and oversized clown tires (tractor tires).Be invisble, travel on side streets to avoid gang infested areas.

Great advice! I might add that if you don't need to go to that section of Town then don't!!! As for the Clown Wheels. I saw one today at the Corner of Redwood and Sonoma. The Wheels were so Big and the Orange-colored,'77 Chevy Caprice Classic attached to them was so high off the ground it could have doubled as a Mini-Hummer. The young Black Male in it looked like he was having a hard time driving it. But anyone could have heard his stereo from 50 yards away!!!

Do share! This article gave the impression that they all are from Vallejo, but only one could be named because the others are underage. If there are Benicians driving around shooting at people, Benicia has a right to know who those individuals are. If the 22 year old Vallejoan is the oldest in the pack, and therefore the adult, then it's getting blamed on Vallejo, as it should!

I'm wondering why this incident isn't listed in the BPD daily activity log? For some reason, the time slot this all took place in, is missing from the daily log. This was a pretty serious incident with an elementary school being put under lockdown, guns being fired, a car chase by the BPD and CHP -- seems more than serious enough to add to the police log! Especially when Benicia doesn't typically have these types of crimes occuring. I think Benicians would like to know who the other "unnamed" suspects are, since it's being said that they are from Benicia. Parents who had kids who were scared half to death at school, because their teacher locked the classroom door and told them to get under their desks have a right to know who the thugs were that caused pandemonium and fear that day. If any of them are from Benicia, Benicians deserve to know who they are.

Actually Vince, the one that was arrested and his name printed in the paper is one of Benicia's own home grown good ole' boy... Ain't that something, people here always want to be the first ones to point the finger and blame other people and obviously other cities for the drama that goes on here and SOME of the time it is, BUT this one here is one of BENICIA'S OWN that is riding around here thinking he is cool and trying to scare someone by shooting at them...but misses not once but TWICE... Real good right... This is one of your own doing this here jn your own town... Now what... Can't blame it on no one else right... You didn't think one of your own Benicia Boys could do this right.. Wake up and see what kind of wanna be *** punks that is over in GOOD OL BENICIA...reality check 101... It ain't always the outside coming over here....

One of the intended victims is from Benicia, the police were checking an address on Hastings and one on Carolina Dr. for suspects, they also went to Vallejo to check a couple addresses for suspects. I believe the shooters are a combination of Benicia -Vallejo residents and none of them are minors, the police just don't want to say there names. They do purposely keep serious crime out of the police log to make it appear they are doing a better job than they are doing, I've caught them doing it before and the Benicia Herald did a story on it. Mike Daly is in charge of press releases, they have no oversight at all and are not your friend. If the BPD had their way they would not tell you anything at all, they are taking all the town money, retiring at well over 100,000 a year at an early age and laughing all the way to the bank.

I want to know why a rollover accident on I-780 on Tuesday morning between the Southampton and Military West exits was responded to by CHP and VALLEJO Fire and ambulance? I never saw anything in the daily log about that either. If the Benicia Fire Department wants to be paid close to $150k, they should be responding to their own accidents.

Wow the guy missed at 5 feet. They need shooting lessons if they really want to kill one another which I think is a very good idea. Free lessons here. Is it really better in Benicia?

So some of the posts seem to indicate more than 1 shooter? Story seems to say 1 shooter? Did they fire at each other? It's confusing. and if there was more than 1 person in the car, why is only 1 in custody? Isn't it illegal to have guns in the car? How come they don't name the 'victim' or did they also shoot back? Earlier posts seem to indicate this all Benicia people?

No, not all Benicia people. The guy who was arrested is a Vallejoan. However, I too find it peculiar that the other people involved are not mentioned by name. That could be because they're minors and the man who was arrested had his name published because he was over 18 years of age. Maybe the names aren't being published because it was gang-related? I think people have the right to know "WHO" all of the thugs are that were involved in the crime. Maybe there will be a follow up article that names everyone. A school was put on lockdown for God's sake! This was a very serious crime and it seems it's being swept under the rug.
