This is a sick sick person. I am disgusted to even think that he is human. Having experience this persons psycotic behaviour first hand we all knew that it was bound to happen one day. I truly feel for Mr Bloods family. We are relieved that he has finally been caught and is now behind bars for most of his natural life. He will not have a life once he gets out, he will be nearly 60 with no job skills and no future. It will be a very merry Christmas for all of the people that have been effected by Toby's sick and violent nature. Thank you very much to the judge that gave him a decent sentence.

Let me also add that the information about him being a street prostitute and addicted to heroine at the age of 13 is a complete lie. Just another example of Toby's ability to manipulate people into believing his lies. Yes it is true he has a major antisocial issue and has been admitted to several mental institutes. However, he has never wanted to be helped with his mental issues. He has pretended to want help and has then thrown it back into the people's face. His family tried to have him institutionalised but he manipulated everyone into believing he didn't have a problem.

I nursed Toby in a victorian jail. He was placed in the rehab unit so that he could better himself. The nursing staff all new that he had a violent and manipulative side. The so called program manager treated him very much like it was never his fault. The treating psych dr stated he would change himself. This all looked good for Toby as the parole board love to see that medical staff see potential. He never had intention to change, well done to the justice team........

Wow finally someone that seems to have met him agrees with me. It is highly likely that this is the Toby that you nursed. Your description fits him exactly. Doctors just seemed let him to the woe is me blame everyone but me thing which just made him worse. He never wanted help and I feel sorry for the people that have tried, including my family. Thank you for you response.

This was a "callous" murder? Is that as opposed to a "nice murder"?

Hung out with Toby as a teenager, he was never addited to herion back then tho we did smoke alot of dope.
We got up to our fair share of mischief but Toby always pushed the limits and if we ever got caught he quickly pulled out the puppy dog eyes(he was good at that).
Sad to see his life turned out this way.
Sympathy to his victim

I have spent an amount of time with toby,I dont remember his family ever trying to put him in an institution and it was only later in his life that he played with the hard drugs.I do think he had an ability to manipulate people, like politicions do.I did not think for a moment he had the ability to murder some-one, but like toby, we all make mistakes and he will pay for his.An eye for an eye.So to all those who think they know him, the big wheel comes around.he still has family.

It is good to read someone else who saw that side of Toby. I was involved way 2 close to home with him. I myself ended up in hospital twice as a result of his attempts to kill me... Everyone thought it was me who was twisted and evil because he is such a good actor.
Facts are: He never sold himself. He was never abused. He only started using heavy drugs in his early 20s. He did get admitted several times to mental health and released too early. He rorted Centrelink and any dealer he could. His family tried so hard over the years to help him and it nearly destroyed them all. The drugs that mental health gave him he either sold or injected them instead. I've sat in Ward 10B with him in one of his meetings with doctors and watched him apologise and beg for help time and time again.
He is pure evil! When he was really angry his was purple in the face and foamed at the mouth. Police couldn't do anything in the earlier years cause the courts always let him off. He has even injured police in his break & enters and got away with it. He was even on remand on 2 earlier occasions for serious woundings and got off. Never thought I could write about it until I saw these posts.

to the idiot that made the last post obviously you DONT know Tobys family very well because he was anything but a spoilt brat. His mother and father were not always at the pub or stoned. I know this as my parents would not have let me stay with them if this was the case. We know that Toby has done the wrong thing but at the end of the day he is still our family and we do love him even for all his wrong doings

Well ghj you could only be a handful of people if you were one of the ones hanging around the choof smoking people in Alice - everyone in that room smoked the choof. It was just more twisted lies just to try and get you all to like him and believe he was tough - he is a professional manipulator! Little do you know the charges he was up on in the Alice and why he left in the first place. He has always been a sicko, its just that everyone was blind to it.

i didn't know toby very well, and to be honest this is the first ive heard of him ever being involved in a murder case as clearly my family has kept me very much in the dark about it until i did my research.
what he did was not only sick and twisted, but extremely stupid and wrong - as we all know. yet he is still a human being and everyone can be helped and changed, it is never to late.
i will admit my respect has dropped outstandingly for this man, yet he has been influenced by drugs through majority of his life, which would play a major part of his terrible actions. if he had the help he needed quicker and doctors did their job, then maybe things would have had a different outcome.

As Toby's little sister, I think I'd know first hand that my mother never spent time at the pub. She's never smoked a cigarette in her life.
Toby's father is another story, but to be honest, my dad came along when Toby was quite young.
So while you're entitled to your own opinion, I would definitely do some research before you go ahead and tell the world how you think it was.

Well, let's be honest, I have read the chapter in your book about Toby and half of what you had written is just way off. He never spent time in boys home. He didn't have a rough childhood.
I'm sick of everyone blaming the family for the way Toby turned out. Regadless of how much people in the family tried to help Tobes, the only thing he cared about was bettering himself. Toby is a very selfish person. I can garuntee that he has no romorse for anything he's done. Not to his family, not to Damien Blood.
But I just want people to know that everyone in the family had tried to help Toby. They've given him money, food, clothing, places to stay, the support he needed to change, and yet all Toby was doing was playing a game with everyone.

I was in jail with toby in perth for a year..he spent alot of time trying to show people how much authority he had. He had all his news reports recorded and often would show how proud he was. .he did nothing but manipulate and coherse people into doing what he wants. .he would often have random outbursts all in all he was attention seeker..if he ever gets out I have no doubt in my mind he kill again
