Lady, you are crazy. You had strong suspicions that your father did it, but you still moved in with him after he sent you to the orphanage.

He's life may be over, but his sex life will soon see a remarkable comeback.

You always have a choice. There's not always a good one, but you *always* have a choice.

Wow! What a dramatic story. This murderer was free for a number of years to kill again. I glad this girl had the guts enough to turn her so-called dad in. This guys should be injected ASAP.

We can only make the best decision we can at that particular time. In this case, you have the ability to pick apart her decision after the fact. The fact remains ... you weren't in her shoes and you don't know her exact situation... THEREFORE you do not have the right to judge her decision.

I feel sorry for her. Even if she suspected her father, the knowledge that she was right must be very difficult.

she went back because it was home - and had no where else to go --
there is a predictability to a situation that makes us confortable, even if it's a bad situation -- it's familiar -- I just hope someone is able to provide her with some really good therapy. Even if (or especially if) her dad is now locked up - she's got some serious issues to deal with -- hoping she does not have to face it all alone.

So the guy accidentally killed his wife during happy, wild sex when he was 34 and freaked out and hid her body? After 17yrs of keeping that inside he's probably a wee bit mental now. Poor guy.

At 16 how much of a choice do you have if the mother is dead and the deadbeat is the only choice?
I didn't say there were any good choices, but had she not wanted to live with him:
* Talk to the police and try to get into protective custody.
* Get a job and live on your own
* Live with other friends/relatives
* Live on the street

There is always a choice, and I have to assume she made the best one at the time.
