Apart from the whole political aspect of the story, I'd just like to say:

There should be no reason that anyone, left or right or center, would object to discussions on this topic. It's only on the far right that people think the government to coming to take away all the guns, and only on the far left that people would want to ban all guns.
Most of us Americans want common-sense solutions to a complex problem.

Common sense would be to just follow the constitution and fry criminals who commit violent crimes

It's interesting that Jim Cole would have a problem with guns as it seems he was involved with
Operation Fast & Furious where thousands of guns went into Mexico.

Its not a complex problem, guns kill indiscriminately, men women and children, most of them innocent.

There is an old saying that goes like this: "If you let the camel's nose in your tent, the next thing you know, the whole thing will be in there with you". We've had ENOUGH of government meddling in our freedoms and affairs and we need NO MORE OF IT! We need to enforce the gun laws that already exist -- and when they don't work, don't assume that more gun laws will solve any problems. If you can think logically, just for one moment, you will realize that 'We, the People' can and should be able to protect ourselves, NO MATTER WHERE WE ARE and with whatever force is necessary!

Guns kill as much as the fork made Rosie ODonnel fat! A gun just lays there until some picks it up and misuses it.

If think logically you would take guns out of the equation. A gun will sit on the table till the end of time without doing anything, thats true, but thats not reality. There is no logic to the human mind, look around.

Absolutely right! Where does the left get off thinking that every gun owner has to be punished for the rare actions of a few.

LOL, these moon bats think that by waving a magic wand that all firearms will be turned in if the government deems it so...but that's not going to happen.
