These "drug pills" are not generally the cause of these conditions, but for treating conditions that already exist.

It is true that family doctors should not be practicing psychiatric medicine. They lack sufficient knowledge to prescribe potent psychotropic drugs correctly.

"Registration is confiscation" is so damned dumb it more than speaks for itself.
Thousands ARE victims every year. And you would do nothing. Shame.
a Justice Department memo says that an assault weapon ban would not be effective without mandatory gun confiscation and that universal background checks would only work with federal gun registration, Jim Hoft reported at the Gateway Pundit.

"I just want you to know that we are working on it. We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar."

Confiscation could be an option…mandatory sale to the state could be an option,” said New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

"If I could have banned them all –‘Mr. and Mrs. America turn in your guns’– I would have," Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Ca) said in 1995.

"I don't believe that people should be able to own guns."
Barack Obama, as quoted to John R. Lott, Jr., PhD

"This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future!"

That's your idea of helping?
Disgusting. Get lost.
what did I supposedly LIE about, schmuck? He IS being exploited. Emotions should have NOTHING to do with making policy decisions, especially ones that are punitive to people who did nothing wrong, will probably never do anything wrong, and infringes the rights of people just minding their own business.

I hear the bigger problem occurs when "the medicated" abruptly stop taking their drugs.

The reality, dear friend, is that it has, it does and will in the future.
We should have "grief" about this.
No it does not - that gun did not jump up and shoot these kids - a person that had his hand around that gun and had a mental problem is the one that murdered those kids.

GUNS DO NOT KILL PEOPLE - PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE. What is so hard about that comment that most people can not understand. Does your car start up and run over people? Do knives jump off of the counter and stab people? Do hammers jump up and hit people in the head without someone holding the handle? Do swimming pools jump up out of the ground and fall on kids and drown them? Use some common sense when you say the gun killed the child.

All of your quotes are entirely bogus. The Hitler quote I KNOW is false. Hitler's government actually LIBERALIZED the possession of guns for everyone but a few proscribed minorities like Jews.

An important issue that has been brought up as a result of the shootings is the dreadful state our care for the mentally ill is. Any American city has a population of homeless people. A majority receive little or no medical care. Some of those will have mental illness. They are very unlikely to receive the supervised care they require.
The question is this, it seems to me that expecting the private sector through various NGO's to foot the bill and deliver a co-ordinated product?
Would you accept gov't as the responsible party?
and grant adequate tax payer funding to do the job?

Use your common sense and explain how these objects can kill anyone by themselves, you know it is impossible. You can not and so you do what all Dems do best - and spew out hate.

Equally important are cases where strong psychotropic drugs are pescribed to "normal" persons who do not require them. These can cause strange and unpredictable reactions.

Now they are called terror weapons huh, whatever you say.

Statistics show that more people are killed with hammers and clubs every year than with rifles as a whole. I imagine that being beat to death with a hammer wouldn't be terror, get real. People commit acts of terror every day and more often with assault weapons that don't have bullets.

If you wish to compare U.S. policies to those of Nazi Germany, you've made a poor choice of where to live.

Homes with firearms are 43 times more likely to have a family member either injured or killed. Stick that in your 38 and fire it.

Guess we are going to have to ban Grandma from picking up the kids from daycare now. Latest Connecticut crisis is a Grandma that picked up her two Grandchildren from daycare and then killed them both. Unfortunately for the argument, this was done with a gun, yes she did kill herself as well. Last one like this was a mother upstate New York, drove herself and her kids into the river, they died. Faint memory of another, southern East Coast? with a knife. So if they are going to do it, looks like whatever is conveinent is what will be used. This newest one is withing the last 4-5 days.
