There should be a federal law that a person or the persons name/s who commit these type of crimes should not be published as to prevent 'Infamy Fame Seekers'.

When someone is caught doing these horrible things, After their untelevised trial Lock them away in Gitmo with no contact at all with anyone and no contact with the outside world EVER, or better yet execute them immediately, burn the remains and throw the ashes in the trash

Something simple like the scumbag or the dogsh&t killer. I think words like gunman and shooter give too much credence to their "cause" because it makes their "mission" seem more ominous. Also it's one thing to give the casualty figure but they shouldn't be compared.
For punishment make him hear the life story of their victims and make them look at pictures of their dead victims for ever. Picture of dead random shooting victims should be used in scared straight training for ALL school aged students. Trips to the morgue as well. Even for middle class suburbanite students.
This Oregon Mall killer is a selfish cowardly piece of sh&t. Heard he wore a mask as well, could'nt face his victims straight up. Did he want infamy or release his rage. He couldn't figure out how he wanted to go out. If his life sucked, fine he should have ended it. He would've gotten more respect and sympathy from people talking about his suicide than he did killing innocent people not associated with his problems.
Solution make suicide more acceptable. Japan has one of the highest suicide rates in the world but some of the lowest murder rates.
This guy also had dog sh&t friends who tried to defend him as a 'good' guy on media shrink shows like Dr Drew. He was a big time loser quiting his job, unable to hold a relationship, stole from his friends, killed disguised and killed innocent unsuspecting people-he was NOT a good guy. These are enablers and should consider taking themselves out as well.

We see this more and more. Our young men are lost in this society. Hopeless, disillusioned, turning to alcohol and drugs. We lock them away, tag them with criminal records, and make it more difficult to make something of themselves, and the cycle continues. Not enough is being done to help them when we fist see a problem. Families and society turns their back on them. Schools are failing them. More and more I see the lost faces of these young men on the streets. They turn to gangs and violence as no one else will have them. We as a society are crating this dilemma by turning our backs on them. We leave them with nothing to lose. No hope. So they lash out. Jacob was someone's son. What went wrong? It could have been your son or mine. Our youth need help. What are we doing about it? We need to find a solution so these awful tragedies don't happen.
