Cool Guy,
They know who they are shooting at. Agree it wont take long unti la innocent person is gunned down by this mess. When Smantha Salas got killed in Monrovia that was the final straw and the police steped up the effort over there , it was a race fight. La Puente Bassett war will go on...it is mex. on mex. not a racial Mex on Blk. The gang members know who they are killing or shooting, because of they hit a innocent kid that person is pretty much dead when he goes to jail. All the same I dont mind if cholos kill each other...they are usless so let them lose their souls.
Wrong! Final straw was Brandon Lee who was a couple of days later!

At one time, Valinda, Baldwin Park, Azusa, etc. used to be really nice, desirable areas. Unfortunately, those areas have been over run by hispanics that refuse to assimilate with American customs, one being speaking English. I truly feel sorry for you.
Perhaps, you have a family member that could help you sell your home and move to a nice, safe mobile home park where there are folks there that speak English. If no one is available to help you, I'm sure a realtor would be able to point you in the right direction to get you moved.

MY HEART GOES OUT TO THE VICTIM'S FAMILY, RIP. THESE SHOOTINGS APPEAR TO GET OUT OF HAND AND POLITICAL POWERS NEED TO STOP GANG SCUM FROM CONTINUING TO KILL MORE INNOCENT PEOPLE. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS CITY GOVERNMENT DOING TO STOP ALL THIS? MAYBE NOTHING...

Monique Ontiveros, 29, said she introduced her husband to a car club about five years ago "so that he could stay away from the gangs."

That statement, tied with the fact that his uncles are gang members (with bridgetown tatted across their chest) and the way he looks tells me he was a gangmember. Yes it says he did work, but what grown may with x amount of kids spends every weekend with their car club. Hmmm. I am sorry for your loss, but what do you expect. Like the old saying: looks like a duck...

It's getting uglier by the day out there. Most of the BG cholos are young, ignorant, drop outs, fatherless and using meth. All the veteranos they have replaced are either dead or doing life in prison. These young punks have no life goals as their mission in life is to gang bang and make everyone's life as miserable as possible. The only way this violence will come to an end is for the cops to stop every cholo, search him and haul his asss away.

I have never understood the "Gang thing" killing and fighting each other over an area, they don't even own! I could some what understand it, if it was a race thing [ Although that is just as stupid] but to kill your own over a strip of land? and this isn't just a Hispanic, or Black problem, it's also Asians and White's [ lived in boston for awhile ]

he was 34? I thought he was 50 or something from that picture.
he looks way older than his age.
I read the article- and looked at the pictures.
Theres just a little too much gang related stuff in his life. He looked like a banger when he was younger. He has tats.
the little kids look like little gangbangers with those shirts. Then hes wearing those dickies or whatever theyre called with that distinct belt buckle.
The only thing that changed was he grew out his hair...
He even started wearing the mustache like all those veteranos do....

Why so much toleration? If these type of shootings were occurring in Beverly Hills or Santa Monica, politicians and the Chief of Police would be all over the news, but what do they care if it happens in La Puente, Baldwin Park, El Monte, etc. So sad.
When did these shootings stop in Santa Monica?

Man, the holocaust was the most evil reprehensible act human beings have ever been a part of. Saying that. Bring back the holocaust for these Fn waste of human space! Gather all these fn lowlifes in train carts, ship them out to the middle of nowhere in some camp! Gas them! Use them for medical experiments! Make them work hard labor then kill them! Shoot them randomly! Maybe that will make these P e n d e j o s think twice about joining a gang. These parasites don't think twice to join gangs because their only deterent is being sheltered, clothed, and fed in some prison. This is a great country but enough is enough. Instead of policing and going to war with primitive countries, killing off their people. Start with eliminating the scum that live here in our neighborhoods! Damn right martial law is coming!

Finally, one person who actually read the article and found the "clues" there that Reporter McClain included. Not that it matters much, it's a tragedy that Mr. Ontiveros got in the way of a bullet that may have been meant for his uncle or another active gang member. I'm sure his wife was concerned about him staying away from that house as much as possible. They should have left the area altogether. I have to admit though, my opinion is that some of these car clubs are pretty much the same thing as barrio gangs.

Don't get me wrong, I feel bad for the family and I hope the guy had life insurance so that family can get the hell out of Baldwin Park and start a new life somewhere safer.

It seems to me like he was the target. If I remember correctly from the article it said something about him not going to that home in Valinda for about a year. What are the chances that the one time he would be gunned down? Could he have been hiding from someone he owed a debt to? If so, I guess word gets out quick. Not that these stupid gangs discriminate, they will kill anyone but their mothers. It just seems strange to me that's all.

this is going to be my very last post, i would like to tell all you people out there that has nothing better to do but judge my husband from the way he looks, he is a loving father and will be missed by the ones that loved him. he was not and has never been involved in the gang seen. he is apart of the Epics s.g.v. car club and we are a close-net family. he built his car from the ground up and this year has gotten his plaque on the back of his window. i also would like to thank everyone that has supported me and my family for this tragedy that has happened to quickly. i love and thank you all.
