FORT WORTH -- Fort Worth police are seeking a 25-year-old man in connection with the shooting deaths of two brothers last month.

Homicide detectives obtained a capital murder warrant for David Trujillo, also known as 'Big Happy,' after police received information that he shot Juan Alberto Perez, 16, and Alonzo Antonio Perez, 21, as they stood in their front yard in the 4200 block of Wayside Avenue early Sept. 22.

Homicide Sgt. J.D. Thornton said the shooting apparently stemmed from an argument that originated about a block away. Read more

David served with me in Iraq. I was his platoon Sergeant we road and took care of each other in the same Stryker. I plead with law enforcement to do the right thing by the family of the two young men but not to forget that David is not the same young man he was before serving in Iraq. It has changed us all.

David turn your self in and I'll stand behind you just as you did for me when I was in need. Where brothers till the end "Weapons Squad"

I also served with David Trujillo. He served with honor and was well respected among the soldiers in my unit. I know if My Wife, Daughters, or I EVER needed anything, he would not hesitate to help.

I am another soldier that served with David in Iraq and i am BEGGING the texas coutrs, please look farther than just the crime before you end this young mans life. No one has come back from that place the same, we've all had varying issues that we had tried to deal with over time, Davids just hit him harder. Im not asking that he be set free right here and now, I'm merely asking that you take into consideration what this man has done to stay alive,The loss of so many that were close to him, the horrors that replay in his mind at night, and ask yourself if you could still be perfectly normal after that. Give hime the help he needs to set him and his mind back where they need to be. God bless you Tru, we're behind you all the way no matter what.

Hey SFC Zamora, didn't you get kicked out of the Army for sticking a handgun in another soldier's face? Way to back up your soldiers Chuck E.Queso. By the way, how the hell did tripod make SGT? Oh yeah, Trujillo probably did it. Other wise, why would he run? I mean I like the guy and everything, but come on....one less dirt bag in the world isn't gonna hurt anything is it?
Good luck with your trial tubby! Just because you served your country with honor, doesn't mean you can be a moron and shoot people because they wear a different color. Friggen Moron

David Trujillo, also known as 'Big Happy killed Juan Alberto Perez, 16, and Alonzo Antonio Perez, 21, Seems like hispanic on hispanic crime, SFC Zamora aint you an illegal alien? even if you are legal you werent too bright. An argument that originated about a block away,,,HUMMMMM. What in gods earth were you doing there? I would call it a mistake if their names were Bob, John, Tom, Dick, or was in the wrong hood if their names were Jerome or something, All you guys writing recommendation letters for this troubled soldier should have briefed him that the war was over once you get back to the states. Johnson and Hendershot, he needs a lawyer, got one on your budget? Russel, need to keep you in check too, you are kind of tubby. Millron, congrats on your promotion, you are a good guy. Myers, why havent you got promoted yet? let me know who we got to shoot to get you promoted, oops, bad joke.

OK, lets set a couple things straight here and know. You dont agree or support tru? fine, your choice. But you wanting to run your mouth about him and fellow soldiers and not have the balls to even put your name is just plain cowardly. You obviously think yourselves man enough to talk shit about everyone else, why not man enough to tell us who you are? Serve in our unit? Well, i am so far ashamed to say we ever served under the same colors. To think our beloved Gimlets were tainted with such cowardes back stabbing excuses of men. Not a fan of what i'm sayin? hurting the feelings? Here's and idea, be a man and comfront me. I'll be back from afghanistan and in phoenix by april. Im on my space and yahoo. Anyone will be glad to give you contact info for me. So ya'll step up or bitch out

David's Friends,
Can someone give me the 411 on what happened? The info. is vague and doesn't fit the profile of a Combat Veteran. What's not being told speaks louder than what is.
David deserves respect for his service to this messed up country.
I just don't see a Vet. doing this.

First of all I want to say I'm deeply sorry for the parents and the family of the Perez boys. I'm a mother of a son who has just passed away, so I know the deep sadness and pain that is in your hearts. I'm also a mother of a son who fought in IRAQ. He did two tours there. Something has to be done for these young men. They send them on their way when they are done with them, without any counseling or even a thank you. These boys can't cope for the most part with life as they knew it before they enlisted. The government is to blame, and should take responsibility for these guys. My son was a great kid. But the first time he came home on leave after he enlisted, he was not the same. They are sent over there and it's not normal what these boys see and how they have to live everyday. Always looking over their shoulders not even really getting any sleep or a break from the fighting. No one would be the same. I feel so sad for the families of the two Perez boys, My heart goes out to them as a parent. We have disks of how the boys were living and what went on there that I'm sure the government wouldn't want to get out. My son was going through HELL, before he took his own life. I blame the government. Anyone that has not served and has not gone over ther has no idea what these young men have gone through. So have a little compassion for this young man also. My son was a friend to him, he talked about him to me, he was and is a hero to me. He took care of my son while he was there and I know he had the backs of many others as well. I think the government needs to take responsibility and get him the help he needs not just throw him in a prison. After all it's the war that changed him I'm sure, it did my son. They owe him that much. My thoughts and prayers are with the family of the Perez boys, and also with David Trujillo. It's a situation where no one wins.. Sincerely, The mother of a victim of the war.

I served with David for three years at Ft. Lewis, WA, which included a deployment to Mosul, Iraq. In that time I never would have believed that David was capable of such a crime. David had an incredible personality, was a loyal friend, and was someone I entrusted my life to.
It breaks my heart to see what's happened to our platoon in the last few years, but I still consider you all brothers, even the Hero and ppg. You're entitled to your opinion.
