How does a man get convited in the country wihtout any hard evidence? Just the statement from a "drug addict" whom was promised only 5 years for saying someone else killed this man. Think about this, if a person can be sent to jail for life and convited of 1st degree murder based soley on a statement of a "drug addict" this country is in a sad state of affairs. Everyone better start watching out who they anger, you could be the next "murderer" wihtout any evidence to be put away for life.

I totally agree. There was no hard evidence in this case, except it was all based on he said, she said. The case is going to be appealed, regardless. In cases like this where someone is charged with 1st degree with no evidence, it is an automatic appeal. It obviously didn't take the jury that long to deliberate, which makes me wonder... Did they just see Shawn as a former drug dealer that they just wanted off the streets? Or did they really believe the story of his so-called friend, that changed numerous times. People change, and obviously they weren't as good friends as they thought they were. But who really is true friends in the drug world. My heart goes out to all families involved. My heart goes out mostly to their children. Mark Jones son lost his dad at such a young age, and never got to know him. Besides his street reputation Mark could have been a remarkable father. Shawn's boys will also miss out on having a father as well. No one really wins, it's sad. Mark Jones did not deserve to die the way he did. But also keep in mind is it really justice? If the man you put in jail for the rest of his like may potentially be innocent??? It may ease the pain that is in the hearts of the victim's family, but is it right to take away someone else's life that might be not be meant to be taken. No one will ever really know what truly happended that day, or who actually pulled the trigger, it's just based off of what everyone has said. All stories are completely mixed up and don't add up. I don't know I just think, the way the trial went, it wasn't right.

You must have not been at the whole trial, I was it all did add up. Everyones stories all connected, which told the whole story. Oh by the way Shawn rated on everyone in his last case, all of them, so are you say he wasnt a friend to those people either. People turn for different reasons in cases. In his last case he put people away for life, so was he lying...I will give you the case number so you can have a attny pull the case for you.

I can already tell what type of family you are raising. If you see someone getting killed and another being found guilty, as YOU winning and BATTLE, then you're more of a fruit loop than I thought you were.
