She was being assaulted by him . He had multiple charges against him for violance in the past . You are going to blame the mother ?

Yes, because she was starving him and abused him first. His own sister said so today at school.

Oppositional defiant disorder

Oppositional defiant disorder is a pattern of disobedient, hostile, and defiant
behavior toward authority figures.
Causes, incidence, and risk factors
This disorder is more common in boys than in girls. Some studies have shown that
it affects 20% of school-age children. However, most experts believe this figure is
high due to changing definitions of normal childhood behavior, and possible racial,
cultural, and gender biases.
This behavior typically starts by age 8, but it may start as early as the preschool
years. This disorder is thought to be caused by a combination of biological,
psychological, and social factors.
Symptoms
Actively does not follow adults' requests
Angry and resentful of others
Argues with adults
Blames others for own mistakes
Has few or no friends or has lost friends
Is in constant trouble in school
Loses temper
Spiteful or seeks revenge
Touchy or easily annoyed
To fit this diagnosis, the pattern must last for at least 6 months and must be more
than normal childhood misbehavior.
The pattern of behaviors must be different from those of other children around the
same age and developmental level. The behavior must lead to significant problems
in school or social activities.

Let' s just shoot our kids with mental illnesses instead of getting them help. Is that your position?

I believe the court records show all the parents attempts to get him help. I don't think they would have released dad if that was the case .

I hope to God you don't have children. God forbid you have one who ends up having anger issues. People who condone a parent killing a kid are sick. Your telling me that the six family members in that home couldn't handle a kid long enough to call the cops? God save our kids from people like you and them!

You obviously never have delt with an out of control violent child. He had attacked police before.
But if he would have injured your child you would have a different take on it .

Make sure you know the facts before you run your mouth about something you know nothing about .
The family can see this so unless you have walked in their shoes and dealt with all they have been through you need to mind your own business .

I do know the facts and the family. I have also dealt with violent teens. Hurley medical center has a psychiatric ward to deal with this kind of thing. I feel sorry for the sisters of the victim and the victim. But I do not feel sorry for the parents. Violence against a child is NEVER the answer.

Before you accuse people of ignorance or not knowing what they are talking about maybe you should try using spell check.

Lmao I will do that on my phone since I am so worried about grammar when debating a topic with you. Besides the fact you are ignorant and have no idea what a mentally ill out of control person is capable of in a matter of seconds not minutes . You have no idea what that family or any other family goes through on a daily basis when dealing with mentally ill child . Then add in violence . I suppose if he lost control at school and injured or killed someone you would blame the mom and the school ?
When you have something intelligent to say respond but if you are just here to put down a family that has endured a horrible tragedy and their parenting of a child with many issues. I have nothing else to say .

He was not violent to other kids. Read the article it talks about his friendship with neighborhood kids.
I have a mentality ill son. He has had issues with violent outbursts. The police have been to our house too. We have been in their shoes, so yes I do know what it is like to not know who your son will lash out at. But we have gotten him help. My entire point is that had they tried, they could have avoided this. I think it's sad that they didn't fight to protect their family from an avoidable tragedy.

I don't have to read the article .
The article fails to mention the father is a double amputee . It fails to mention the family adopted the children , it fails to mention all the help they sought for their son. These are not ignorant non caring people
So again if you don't know the situation. Or the family don't comment on what they didn't do !
Do not blame the parents if you hint know the situation .

You don't or maybe you think you do and were fooled too the police don't have a clue what kind of abuse all the kids in that home suffered. They just assume the parents were good people because they are good liars that know how to work the system. Not one of their kids is happy.

Really!!!! You are so intelligent:) The mother did not starve him or abuse him. Knw the facts before you make a statement like that. I am related to the family for your info. i knw and even told the family agencies to go to for help. I bet you are guilty of abusing your child or children its called reverse psychology. Oh, by the way my degree is in psychology.

You may not ever respond, but I am the oldest sister of the young man killed. I will tell you that I miss my brother. There isn't a day that passes without him in my mind. My family tried getting help for him. When he tried to stab my mother, she took him to hurly hospital. He was evaluated and dismissed . We tried the Whaley center, but denied bc home was not a threat. Mott community center dismissed him bc he jumped on a counselor. CMH was a joke. My family even begged the judge to not send him back home, but he was returned. I wish you well, and I pray you do not have to go through the hell my family went through.
