Zimmermann is a wannabe
Zimmermann should not have followed Martin. Zimmermann should not have had a gun on him
Zimmermann started this mess
Martin took it too far
Zimmermann was defending himself
Zimmermann needs to be acquitted
But if the jury ever reads this forum, he will be convicted because of the remarks made by you gun nuts
When did wanting to be a cop and help protect your community become a bad thing? I would think one would be proud to be called a wannabe cop. Trayvon was a wannabe GANGSTA. Which would you be proud to tell your mother you wannabe? George wanted to stop the criminals in his community. He did. Trayvon wanted to be a gangsta and lay dead in a dark area in the rain after living the gangsta life. He did. George didn't start this mess. Those committing breakins and criminal activity in the community started it. Those glamorizing thug and gangsta lifestyle started this. parents not taking the responsibility of raising a child with moral standards started this thing. George (like many others) are tired of it. Gun owners are not the nuts. Those who think they can continue to rape, steal, assault, helpless victims are nuts. The victims are growing teeth. Nuts is thinking "gangsta" has a future.

If I am not mistaken, Zimmer tried to become a cop, but he was rejected probably because of that prior arrest
You are mistaken. He was taking courses to be qualified. Untill this case cause him to be kicked out because the school didn't want the publicity. He had inquired on what he needed to do to qualify for the job but not applied. If you will check the testimony George was offered expanded patrol but he rejected it.

Care to show that link? Oh wait it's just another make it up as you go just to be proven a liar later. We are use to that.

Donald O'Brien, the HOA president, testified that the police did not do regular patrols of the area due to the lack of a written agreement between the HOA and the police department (private property). O'Brian testified that construction workers in the neighborhood had followed a burglary suspect in the past, resulting in an arrest, and that he had sent out a congratulatory email. Hmm. No complaints about following before. In fact a pat on the back was in order. Of course what thug is stupid enough to jump a bunch of construction workers, thug might get a broke neck.

The Sanford Police Department hires right out of high school and then sends them to an academy while on the payroll (unless they're nuts)
IF they have an opening. But they still require you pass the academy. Our local police does the same (if no already qualified person applies) but it is preferable you already have the training before they need anyone, which is usually only 2 or 3 per year. Most police departments have very low turnover rates, you may have a long wait about getting hired by any specific one. Common sense says preparing yourself for the career you want increases the chances of getting hired, especially in a line of work with high competition and low turnover.

Being a "gangsta" on the other hand requires no training, just stupidity or being nuts. Anyone can be one and they have plenty of openings. However the retirement plan sucks (a bullet or jail).

There are schools/academies down here that people may be hired by an agency or people pay to go to hoping to be hire by an agency after graduating. But all must graduate and be certified.

<quoted text> You claimed Trayvon had no previous record of illegal activity. It is a proven lie. You claimed Trayvon didn't do drugs. A proven lie. Not only did he do drugs but manufactured and provide drugs to minors. You claimed he was not a thug. A proven lie. By his own text messages he was a "gangsta". You claimed George attacked first. You have absolutely to proof to back that claim.(If you did the state of Florida wants to speak to you). You claim the police operator was a cop and issued a lawful order "not to follow". Once again a proven lie. I could go on and on but I don't want arthritis. You have been proven wrong and a liar for over a year now, aren't you about tired of being proven over and over to be a lying fool?
Some people are so blinded by their racism, they don't see how stupid they look. Zimmerman would be dead today if he didn't have a gun.

An innocent man may be charged because his counsel and the corrupt judicial system may use him for political gains.

Google. Are you surprised that a violent, child molesting, domestic abuser would not pass the pysch eval? Zimmerman is the exact opposite of what you would want in a cop!

Is that so? According to his own testimony he would not have left his car and followed the kid without a gun - ye moron!!

I don't think he got that far in the process. I think they saw his arrest record and disqualified him
It was his credit history, at least that's what Opie wanted redacted, he's a deadbeat. Of course being a deadbeat doesn't make someone a liar...unless they're on the phone with a creditor.

George once quit a job in order to avoid a wage garnishment.

All the gun talk with the FDLE expert was BS, George admitted that he shot the "suspect." The forensics, bullet path etc. might play a role at some point however.
