That is really horrible. That yellow, plastic structure might be lame to play on (I was a kid when it was built) but it's there for a good reason. Add to it but don't destroy it. This reminds me of a girl named Chrystal who was in my kindergarten class at Baker Elementary that died in a fire above the donut shop and salon in downtown Milford. The school took donations from the students and parents to plant a memorial tree in the courtyard, but in five years the tree was "renovated" off the playground. Is a couple years as long as we're willing to remember someone with any kind of memorial?

As always in Milford decisions about Milford are made over property values. No one who owns a home in Milford wants a potential home buyer to take thier children to Central Park and see that a child was abducted and murdered from there. I knew both Crystal and Cindy. I wonder what Cindy's mother Alana thinks of this,

I am appalled that Cindy's memorial was removed. I moved back to Milford and fully expected it to be there when I went to the park with my kids. To find the structure gone was heartbreaking. Yes this horrible act occurred awhile ago but how dare we forget. Not a day goes by that I do not think of Cindy and it is an insult to her memory and to those of us who miss her to find the structure is gone.

I did not know Cindy, but I do know people who were very close to her. Her story needs to be told and she needs to be remembered.

Just found this forum. I moved to Florida in 1998. I will be visiting my friends this summer in the Milford area and I thought I would visit the park and see the memorial. I am sad to know it has been taken out. I will visit the park any how and I will remember her forever!

HELLO ZACH IM THE YOUNGEST SISTER TO CYNITHIA JONES. I find it not to scare paents from the park for the safty of their children. But it does give some pity towards whom ever decided to take it down. Im actually upset and i am the carer of all cases toward her. I live for her memory and keeping it full of life. I may not know you but i did know my sister. Thank you for your words.
