There was no racial issues. Both men were of the same race so I don't see how this is racial. First news story was given bad information from an ill informed bystander/neighbor and went with it. We do not need to add racial issues to this already extremely tragic event. So please people, get your facts straight before you report a story that could have backlashing consequences. Just saying'. The whole thing is over a senseless issue anyways. Just never know what goes on in people's mind!

My prayers go out to the family, friends and the neighbors who tried to help Squeaky in his time of need. As a friend of Squeaky's, I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Squeaky.
This murder was senseless and brutal. There is no reason anyone should loose their life over something like a pet in your yard or a child playing. Hopefully, we will all take a look at our friends and neighbors and be more accepting of each other to avoid future tragedies such as this.
I feel no sympathy for this brutal killer and pray for swift justice for Squeaky.
Squeak helped me through some tough times and gave me some needed advice. He will always have a special place in my heart.

I can't believe the horrific way that my friend died. No one deserves to die that way. I hope that man rots in hell.

Arlington Haney had his funeral yesterday. Many of his biker buddies came. 'Squeaks' has gone home, about half a lifetime before he should have, so stupidly sad. Hudson did no favors to his family either. Social Security is cut off to prisoners, seems the goverment doesn't pay to house you plus send you a check. So Hudson's wife will suffer too. Smart move for a man who just turned 65, to kill his neighbor over such nonsense, retirement will not be as easy as he thought... In fact, sooner than later he will have to go back to work BUT, without pay.

Your grandfather is right where he needs to be! Locked up and I hope they throw away the key!!! If you think it's ok then you go and do the same as your grandfather and they have a nice cell waiting on you!

Looks like Hudson got an attorney. Why bother? He needs to just confess. Either way he will go to prison, even a lighter plea type sentence will mean life at his age!! The lawyer and paralegal bothered to visit many houses on the street, but they never dared go knock on the victim's door....

Well, look out world! Franklin D. Hudson is out on bond as of May 14,2012. And the county didn't have the decency to tell the neighborhood. Just found out today, over two weeks later! He spent all of a week in jail after murdering a man in front of his son. Judge should never have even given this man the option of bonding out.

That nasty old Franklin Hudson had to sit and listen to all the prosecution witnesses last week. He will soon be going to jail. He also had 3 aggravated
assault charges added in addition to murder. No more worrying about any residential lawn for that old freak!

Hudson was the thing to be feared in this neighborhood! If HE was afraid, he should have gone in his house and called the police. You can't shoot an unarmed man 9 times, half of that in the back and claim self defense. Was he afraid of the unarmed son, was Hudson afraid of Arlington's unarmed wife and friend that he also fired on? They say Hudson was proud of his yard. This guy's lawn was no show piece! It looked like an average mowed half dead lawn in Arlington, Texas with ZERO landscaping. Now, he will never have to concern himself with lawns again. And the neighborhood will be a lot safer when Hudson is in prison.

Really Mary? His son wasn't shot at and neither were the other two. The jury saw through a bunch of lies today. You were there right? You talk like you know him, you know what rumors portray, thankfully the jury isn't as stupid as you.

Yeah, "Idiot United States" I was there and outside during part of the shooting, Were you there, idiot? The jury is going to put that old lying menace behind bars. Come back later, you will find that crow is best served and eaten cold. I want to hear you whine on that day about the unfairness of the justice system and call the jury stupid.

[When Jordan started to run toward his wounded father, Hudson kept firing.]

The boys actual words:
“I tried to go back, but [Hudson] started shooting at me,” Jordan Haney testified. He by the way was 11 yrs old at the time....

Also, read this part of the story at the above link:

"But a family friend who was fired upon, Raphael Pitts, testified that he tried to help Haney but was chased away by gunfire. Using bushes and parked vehicles for cover, Pitts testified that he bent down low and approached Haney’s body, sprawled across the sidewalk.

Pitts testified that he said,“Squeaky, say something,” but his friend did not move.

Hudson “was about 15 feet away. I started running backwards. I didn’t even turn around,” Pitts said.“The gun is pointed directly at my face. He was looking right at me when he fired. He maybe fired three or four times when I fell in the street. I’m yelling at [Haney’s wife] and the boy to get back in the house.”

Well, "Idiot" btw, you do know that the box above the comment window is where you pick your fake or real name right? That isn't the "To:" line. With that ignorant choice, you proved yourself to be exactly an Idiot! Congrats. Your boy is in jail, I don't see you back!
