The next stimulus is for a down payment on the interest from what we have already borrowed from China.

That's what we need is to spend more of our tax dollars. What is wrong with these crazy people I think they are doing this on purpose so we will end up a 3rd world country. Wait until they pass socialized medicine, cap & trade and start funding ACORN again. This is all about power and control of our lives. What is happening to America.

If we don't pass stimulus 2 quickly, the unemployment rate will soar to 90%.
We can't let that happen.

I share your concern and I am hopeful that November 3, 2009 is the first of many days to follow where Main Street Americans take back their country from radicals.

In many ways, what is occurring in America is similar to the 'Star Wars' series of films.

With the election of BHO, the 'Empire' returned as the Democrats have attempted to consolidate more power in Washington, D.C. with individual liberties being stripped.

The Empire is led by:

Grand Moff Tarkin - BHO
The Emperor - David Axelrod
Darth Vader - Rahm Emanuel
Storm Troopers - Nancy Pelosi, Dingy Harry Reid

The Rebels are led by:

Obi-Wan Kenobi - RWR - his 'force' is still real in America
Princess Leia - Governor Palin
Han Solo - Governor Romney
Lando Calrissian - Governor Jindal

The question for all Americans is who will assume the role of Luke Skywalker and win the country back from the Empire in 2012?

He's trying to keep the economy falsely "propped up" until after the 2010 elections...

...he knows he has to do that in order to "lose" the fewest seats possible... because he knows he's going to lose seats in both houses.

and you know the 9.9% unemployment rate is higher than that...

"they" don't want unemployment under Obama to hit "double digits".

manipulation of numbers is the game here...and the media (his media) won't do investigational reporting to get the REAL facts.

The first one was a complete success; we can see just part of its results from the recent 3.5 GDP and that it helped pull us from the edge of collapse and out of the Bush recession/depression.

I agree that there should be a second one; this time focus it more on the middle class, poor and small business. Every working family should get two installments of $5,000, and single individuals would get two installments of $2,500, all on a government debit card. That will be the shot of adrenaline the economy needs to kick it into full gear. That alone with some small business loans and credit along with some other incentives for the poor should boost our financial system and get things going even better. But I believe that the President is moving in the correct direction and is showing strong and brilliant leadership in the process.

Wake up Pat.

The first 'stimulus' plan has been a bust. The 3.5% increase in GDP in the third quarter was strictly due to the government and not sustainable. There is no growth in the private sector unless you count the 'cash for clunkers' program which only pulled car sales forward.

Heck, even BHO's own economic advisor, Christine Romer, said that the country has felt the majority of the benefit of the $787 billion Stimulus plan already - in spite of the fact that less that 40% has been spent.

How is this for an idea: use the unspent money from the Stimulus Plan as permenent tax cuts. That will certainly get the economy going.

Unfortunately, reviving the American economy runs counter to BHO's grand plan. Remember: never waste a good crisis.

Amen! Obama is corrupt and it doesn't help matters that our president is a complete idiot. It takes him 6 months to choose a dog, no wonder he's having problems doing anything else! He has a problem with decision-making. And this is our president? He's definitely weakening our country.

The U.S. Economic Damn is about to burst and when that happens (Starting next week!) all this silly talk about spending any more dollars that we don't have, should come to a screeching hault!

Or, Obama and company will make the horrific mistake of printing and spending more monopoly money, crushing the value of the Dollar and throw this country into a Horrible Depression!

He will probably do the latter (wrong move!) and we are screwed!

Whatever the details, the focus of the second stimulus needs to be small business, and working class and middle class Americans; as opposed to banks & corporations.

You are correct...The Obama cronies do not count the people who don't qualify for unemployment, and are on welfare or the self-employed that have gone out of business...

Unemployment numbers are at best an attempt to hide the real numbers of people out of work and those who don't want to work...
