I guess the dog was hungry. If the other woman didn't call the mortuary, I bet she didn't feed the dog, either.

It is sad the way many old people end up some times. Where was their family? Why didn't anyone check on them? The poor woman must have had some mental issues. The dog must have been starving. I just can't believe that there wasn't anyone to check on them. A family member, a neighbor, anyone.

Hello Wizard...<winky, winky> some people are jerks their whole lives and even though they become elderly they can still be jerks, they abuse people, their family until no one is left....others everyone they are close to dies and they don't develop new friendships....it happens...shes dead...it's over...the dog needed food...so what...move along...nothing to see here...

Scariest part is the Fox news-guy --- Looks like eddie Munster.

Was it just me-or did that guy seem to "enjoy" the story a bit much? He dressed like an undertaker-he was all animated like he was pulled out of the mail room for a day in order to tell this gross story. |
|
You know-you are partially correct here-life is a bitch-obviously these women-OR at least the one still living needed to be in a home ALONG time ago! I would say-its sad that some older folks are confined to a home-until I see a story like this-some HAVE to be! |

Stories like this don't shock me anymore it's sad because a few years ago I would have been horrified. With all the killings an mall shootings, wife killings, husband killings, parents killing their kids, kids killing parents.....well you get the picture. I wish everyone would STOP killing everyone else, I know that's just a pipe dream. Reality says that it will never come true.

Beside's natural death's how else would the population size decrease? |

Well-you can only control things within your life and influence those around you. I learned along time ago that the news was stressing me out-I watched it before bed and then realized that my mind was working over these problems in my sleep-problems that had nothing to do with my life- Sorry to go on-but I find that columbine-murders-carjackings- YES get pissed off that they happen-but dont hold yourself LIABLE-or hostage to the fact that you CANT do anything about them-other than with the people that you actually have an effect on. Media does alot of damaging things to us in that way-they sell advertising by glorifying columbine and other tragedies-and also perpetuate the tragedies by causing those desperate for attention to think that is the answer- |

I agree Carl, and I try not to let the news stories get the best of me. There are times when I just turn the news off and take a vacation from it. I'm one of those people that feels other peoples pain I put myself in their shoes and I usually get too wrapped up in their problems. I have learned to see what is happening and throw up a mental stop sign lol. |
Yes-well-I know how that goes! For me-I was incredibly stressed for a period-and I thought what the hell is going on-thought it was work...after doing some reading and adjusting my habits-I realized part of it was watching the news before I went to bed every night-this person murdered...a child raped-woman hit by bus or whatever-stories such as this one. Our brains work overtime when we sleep on problems of the day-and the news doom and gloom being the last thing you feed your brain-causes your subconcious to think that it has to fix these problems...but there is no way to fix them-it was something that you did not do- Thats my opinion and what I seemed to find out with a few books and things! Ever since-I now only get stressed about the daily things-it lightened my personal load significantly! |

This may sound weird, but I'm worried about the dog. Whatever happened, it wasn't the dog's fault.
I hope the authorities don't hold that archaic belief that "once an animal has tasted human flesh" it has to be destroyed. |

Some people are down on Marlyn for her opinions here...but I think that these people have never had an abuser in the family. If a family member treated everyone that badly, then lived on their own in their old age...well, I wouldn't go visit them! |
