9/30/2008 - Edgemere, Maryland sighting

By any chance did anyone in the Dundalk/Edgemere area observe any strange air phenomena on the night of 9/30/2008? Some friends and I were sitting at a local park around the hours of 7 to 8 p.m. A storm was rolling as there was lightning and extremely dark clouds coming in the distance from what I believe was the eastern direction. Above us we witnessed a fast moving, high-altitude light that resembled a bright star moving across the visible sky above. It was too high and too fast for conventional aircraft and did not resemble the characteristics of anything celestial like a shooting star. I did check to make sure it wasn't an illusion of moving clouds while staring at a star, I checked its relativity to the stars I could see that definetly remained stationary in the sky. Approximately 30 minutes afterwards, as I was heading to my home about a mile away from our previous location with my girlfriend, we witnessed a large formation in the southern sky that appeared simultaniously as a bright lightning flash lit up the sky. It was a set of 3 lights, in a triangle formation that emited a bright white/blueish light. It did not appear to be anywhere as near as high as the previous object witnessed buta bit higher than comercial craft perhaps.(Besides all the comercial craft that night were flying rather low. I'm assuming because of the lightening storm.) It appeared for only like 2 or 3 seconds, moving at decent speed that matches that of perhaps a comercial airplane or faster (or maybe it appeared that speed because of its size and really was moving faster). It appeared to be very large in comparison to its altitude and that of the comercial airlines flying about and how large they appeared in the sky.(I live relatively close to BWI Airport so I see airplanes all day and night so I know what regular light patterns look like as well as general flight pattern/direction) It appeared bigger in the sky than the planes that were flying lower and the 3 lights seemed to be part of a single craft rather than 3 flying in formation. Just as quick as it appeared from no where, it disappeared again with a 2nd lightning flash. My girlfriend had also witnessed it as I pointed it out as soon it became visable and it was in the sky directly infront of our direction of vision. I'm sure its very possible I happened to see some sort of aircraft emerge from clouds and retreat back into them thus it having to seem to just "appear" but that seems very odd considering all the other aircraft that night weren't anywhere near the altitude of the clouds. Also the sky at this point was pretty much completely covered by clouds so there really wasnt much any visual gap to see past the atmosphere to the stars. Either way, it still seemed exceptional large and unusual.
