Pacific Island countries demonstrating their willingness to be bought. Australian political hacks demonstrating their willingness to buy. It should be a condition of Australian aid (other than disaster assistance)for recipient countries to demonstrate a willingness to, at least try, to adhere to their own laws. Australia has pledged some AUD$1 billion to Solomon Islands this year and for that money Australia will get a feel good ar$e kissing.... great value!
