The Chevy Volt ACTUALLY SAID that?
Hopefully it can say a few other things too. Listening to "230" over and over again gets old.

I suggest they add "69" and "420" to add variety and reduce boredom.

It is based on the survey that says something like 65% of Americans drive less than 40 miles a day. This car supposedly runs 40 miles without the gas engine kicking in. Thus, if you drive less than 40 miles a day (as I do), then you would almost never use the gas engine. If you add the mileage of the electric driven portion, then add the gas miles in, divide by the gallons of gas purchased, you probably might get 230 mpg. However, if you do a whole lot of weekend driving, or lots of long trips, your overall mileage would be considerably less.
Acctording to that analysis, I'd have to call the claim a blatant fib.

All things are relative. If I had a Volt, and I continue in my current driving habits, I would most likely get the claimed 230 mpg. In fact, I would probably greatly exceed the 230. I hardly ever drive my car over 40 miles a day. I think when discussing hybrid cars we should look more closely at the cost of miles, rather than miles per gallon of gas. Since this is a plug-in car, one would have to calculate the true cost of running the car on both gas and electric, rather than just the cost of gasoline.

No one right now is talking about the cost of re-charging these things. And as time goes by, I believe that the cost of electric will increase, as the electric grids are already over-loaded, and must be re-vamped. Re-building all the electric generation in this country as gasoline is replaced with electric will most likely drive the cost of electric through the roof. And then, you also have to consider the cost of adding addtional plants for producing the increased demand. And will they be oil burners, or nuclear, or coal-burining? Very few people are discussing these elements.

What we need is a lesser amount of stupid and insulting people like you who seek to denigrate gay men and lesbians every chance you get.

The Pivo 2, from Nissan Motor Co. Ltd., is an advanced electric concept car that will debut at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show. The fully electric vehicle swanks a 360-degree turning cabin, 90-degree turning wheels and employs by-wire technologies for braking and steering. The ultra-compact vehicle can swivel its bubble-shaped cabin and wheels independently to facilitate easy parking at the hard-to-manage parking spots. The cute vehicle can drive sideways as well as forward and has a small robot to assist with navigation.

Strike One.
I beg to differ.

Transsexual people transition because of their identity, not their orientation. I am acquainted with many trans women who are lesbian and a number of trans men who are gay.

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Sagittarius

After all the excitement of the past few days you're longing for the chance to put your feet up and take life easy for a while. Ideally, you should bury your nose in a good book and be left alone until you resurface for a food transfusion. But you'll also enjoy chatting to someone you know very well and for whom you don't have to make a big effort, such as a close relative.
