Transgendered

A transgender's life in transition

Full story: Connecticut Post

Anne Faith Beon was born practically with axle grease on her hands -- pumping gas as a child, working on car engines and driving hot rods in the beachfront blue-collar community where she was raised.

As a transgender myself, I can fully understand what he/she is going through.Remember we are just normal everyday people like everyone else. I think it's wonderful that there's many many groups for transgender people to turn to today. I hope everyone else can be supportive as well. With support all will be well.

Ugh. This article disgusts me on so many levels. One of those is the total lack of a competent editor.
What does this mean?:
"Beon began a regiment"
Did he/she join the army? Or did you mean to write "regemin"?
Do you even understand the difference, you "journalists"?
Get a damn editor on here for crying out loud.
You clowns don't even have basic vocabulary skills.
Thanks for trying to shove a story about freaks down our throats.
Pathetic.

This story doesn't belong in the newspaper. This should be reserved for a magazine or newspaper which caters to gay people. Now will the newspaper give equal time to those whom were transgendered, but returned back? Once you start covering an issue such as this, then you open the door to equally contentious issues such as pro-life and pro-abortion. I find that very few of the public would be interested in this article, other than those whom are or want to be transgendered.

Well I have nothing but support for anyone who feels different in this world. It amazes me in this day that people still think things like this are sick. It is only sick to those who have small minds and can't open up and accept all people as God's creatures.
God created all people in his image. That doesn't mean he is black and white or Italian and Polish, it means we are all one to be loved not discriminated against.
It also shows how petty people can be when all they have to do is criticize others spelling, I hope I didn't make any mistakes. This is Sunday, remember GOD so loved us and that means ALL OF US.
I wish Anne all the luck and love in the world.

Yea. How dare you cover human interest stories like this. Once you start covering this kind of thing, you'll be covering stories of people who have overcome all sorts of evil health problems like drug addiction, or cancer, and who wants to read that? We all know drug addiction is lifestyle choice! Next thing you'll be running a story of someone who had cancer, and then got HEALTHY. Oh god would we have to read that too?
This kind of article really belongs in one of them GAY magazines, because REAL people don't want to read about diversity in our world. We just want STRAIGHT white people stories in our newspapers.

Yea...because just a STORY about someone who's a little bit different scares the crap out of you enough to move, huh. You sure do set the standard for humanity, don't you.

I hope her medical insurance does not pay for this stuff. If it doesn't help then she must be loaded. This kind of transition is extremely expensive.

Do stories about black people belong exclusively in Ebony? Should there be separate newspapers for men and women? Maybe the Advocate should completely cut its articles about other countries, too.

Children shouldn't be in the newspaper either.

And dogs? Why are there articles about any animals, ever, in this newspaper?

Comparing black people, children, and women to a transgender freak is ridiculous. I doubt that the public is generally interested about this transgender. In fact, most transgenders become prostitutes. What a coincidence!!

I think a lot of people forget that we live in America and should allow others the freedom to live their lives the way they see fit. They should try moving to Iran or Saudi Arabia-- the social control they are looking for would be readily available.
