Surgeons may be able to change physical characteristics of gender and hormonal characteristics of gender, but I do not believe they can change the innate X and Y chromosomes which determine gender. People remain what God made them to be in the womb (Psalm 139) and God doesn't make mistakes.

As you do not know the path of the wind, or how
the body is formed in a mother's womb, so you
cannot understand the work of God, the Maker
of all things.

(SRY negative) chromosomal constitution.

Attempts to explain or define the grandeur and complexity of God's work or intentions, only further proves man's ignorance and insufficiencies. For one to assume to know God's intentions, is to assume a knowledge equal to that of God, an act defined as blasphemy.
