"I would refuse to go to a homophobic heaven. No, I'd say sorry. I mean, I'd much rather go to that other place," he told reporters in Cape Town.

I would respond back by saying if I thought there was a god(s), (s)he or they would make Archbishop Tutu a saint.

Really. Or, it depends on which God you're talking about.

Bishop Tutu is saying what many of us have been saying.

To us being sent to a place full of people who judge and hate us, who have spent their lives persecuting people like us in the name of God, isn't my idea of heaven.

If God loves me the way I believe then such a place would be a punishment not a reward.

Desmond Tutu is right. God is not homophobic, and neither is anyone else, because homophobia does not exist. The word is simply a figment of some gay activist's imagination.

So your endless trolling of the gay/lesbian forum to offer your sexually obsessed insights as to why we should all be a feared of the gay folk, not a seriously debilitating mental illness? Sweetie, the only one you're fooling is yourself.

Homophobia encompasses a range of negative attitudes and feelings toward homosexuality or people who are identified or perceived as being lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT). It can be expressed as antipathy, contempt, prejudice, aversion, or hatred, may be based on irrational fear, and is sometimes related to religious beliefs.

Recognized types of homophobia include institutionalized homophobia, e.g. religious homophobia and state-sponsored homophobia, and internalized homophobia, experienced by people who have same-sex attractions, regardless of how they identify. Forms of homophobia toward identifiable LGBT social groups have similar yet specific names: lesbophobia – the intersection of homophobia and sexism directed against lesbians, biphobia – towards bisexuality and bisexual people, and transphobia, which targets transsexualism, transsexual and transgender people, and gender variance or gender role nonconformity.

Coined by George Weinberg, a psychologist, in the 1960s,[11] the term homophobia is a blend of the word homosexual, itself a mix of neo-classical morphemes, and phobia from the Greek φόβ ος, Phóbos, meaning "fear" or "morbid fear". Weinberg is credited as the first person to have used the term in speech. The word homophobia first appeared in print in an article written for the May 23, 1969, edition of the American tabloid Screw, in which the word was used to refer to heterosexual men's fear that others might think they are gay.

George Weinberg is a Manhattan psychotherapist with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University, a Masters Degree in English from New York University, and advanced training in mathematical statistics. He has written twelve books and is published in twenty-three languages. He has also written for popular and professional journals, and for television.

Weinberg is known for several major contributions to psychotherapy. He coined the word “homophobia”(in his revolutionary 1972 book, Society and the Healthy Homosexual) to propose that those who harbor prejudice against homosexuals, and not homosexuals themselves, are suffering from a psychological malady, an irrational state of mind. Weinberg, though heterosexual himself, became a leader in the ultimately successful struggle to have homosexuality removed as a diagnostic category from the DSM, the professional therapeutic handbook. He has been instrumental in shifting public perception of homosexuality.

No, it's a reality of the Christianity, which is all just imagination.

It was coined by a straight man. And all words at one time were simply "made up sounds". Like "duh" "doofus" and "idjit".

Just posted a good article here on Topix G&L forum:
Six Things Straight People Should Stop Saying about Gay People

A kind woman, who would never intentionally offend another person, writes:“I love gay people, I just cannot support their gay lifestyle.”

A pastor stands holding an electric cord as a prop and warns the congregation,“Don’t mess with God’s original design. Gay sex is not natural, the parts don’t fit.”

A man thinks he needs to “protect” his family from his Christian gay brother. He says to his brother,“Homosexuality is a perversion and, until you change, I cannot allow you in my home with my children.”

Parents send their lesbian daughter to a program that they heard about at church. The visiting speaker says he is no longer gay. The encouraged parents say,“We want what is best for our daughter and we know she can change her preferences.”

About their fellow Americans, some will say:“I don’t mind gay people having civil unions, I just do not want to redefine marriage. Marriage is not a civil right and they want special rights.”

Thinking they are pleasing and even defending God, moderate Christians assert:“I’m fine with gay people getting together, it’s God and the Bible that are clearly against homosexuality. We love gay people and need to tell them the truth.”

If you are a Bible believer and still anit-gay I suggest you start checking the Bible for a get out of Hell free card when it comes to how you live Matt.25:31-46

And if God isn't homophobic, why would he make you live on a homophobic planet? LOL
Why would he make homosexuals unless he is a sick perverted god.

No dear, your obvious psychological issues are your problem, as is your blaming God because you have chosen to become an immature, hateful little troll on an internet forum. Good luck with both, you're going to need it.
