The synopsis of the article is that Gay people are much more common than T-people. And they're much more or better accepted. The solution is to see and be seen! Go to Walmarts, and your local flea markets. Smile at everyone! It's hard to hate someone whose smiling at you. Spend some money with them. It's difficult not to like a person whose spending money with you. Show them that whatever else, we're flesh and blood underneath. We hurt, bleed, cry, and laugh, just like they do. And , And sometimes we have to use the restrooms! But whatever, Don't jam the LGBT message down their throats, even if they agree with it, they don't want to hear it.

I agree. More transgender people need to come out so they will be seen. I still think that there should be a federal law that protects us from abuse and our rights in general. We need to catch up with the gay movement here in the US.

A man thinks he's a woman. He dresses and acts like a woman. In his mind he is a woman.
This person goes to a club, meets a man. They date a few times. The guy really likes this 'woman' he found. As these relationships go, eventually they get into a bed together. The man finds out that his new girl friend has male plumbing. He becomes enraged and beat the crap out of his new 'girl friend' and tosses 'her' out on the street. The 'girl' calls the police files assault and hate crime charges against this guy.

Who is the victim here?

This is the "Trans Panic" defense illustrated! Fortunately It no longer works. First of all, the men who find us attractive 99% of the time are fully aware (Though they rarely admit it, preferring to play the dumb "Victim") of what they're getting themselves into. There is a category of men who are not gay, but find us attractive. My own BF is married with kids, Yet I provide a form of eroticism for him which a Natal woman can't. And I know that it's my femininity that he's responding to. When we meet, I always wear a skirt or dress and some jewelry and make up. He's getting all the girl I can be. If I came to him in jeans and or sweats, he would be turned off. Dressed as a Male? Forget it! He wants a woman, not a guy.
He is not gay. And That's just fine with me. So we know that some men find us irressistable, but can't approach us openly for fear of be called gay which they aren't. So they concoct this scenario in which the girl "Fools" him (Ha!) and he, being the upstanding citizen that he is, loses it and beats the hell out of her or worse. How come he has to resort to a violent response? And ever notice how this invariably happens after they've manifested the big O! Rarely before!

All people should be treated equally, fairly, and with respect. The sad truth is not all people are. Gaining equal rights has always been a long, slow process in this country. But things almost always change for the better. The trick is keeping your chin up, being proud of who you are, and saying to yourself, "I am a human being and a person of dignity." Bieng happy with being yourself is the most important thing.

Why? Because it's the law.

I assume the only reason you don't get arrested is because you wear women's clothes, makeup and a wig and you fool people.

Actually, it's not against the laws here in the US, However, a catchall law (Disorderly person) can be applied. In states where Transgender Rights laws have been enacted, one is allowed to use the restroom of the gender that one is presenting as. I recently went on a trip across the US. I went to states like Texas, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi' and Tennessee. If I was going to be arrested, that was where it would happen. It didn't happen! I was almost always confronted by smiling ladies on their way in or out. New Jersey has a TG Rights law. It was a great trip!

It is NOT the law! You need to read up on it. Not all places have the same law. AND NO one is FOOLING anyone. You need to learn the difference between gender and sex! I may have a penis but that doesn't mean that my gender is male.

My hair is long and I don't need a wig and I rarely wear makeup. My women's clothes consist of a pair of shorts or a pair of "Skinny Jeans" from Walmart and a women's Tee shirt (See my Picture) I used many a ladies room in all those states and saw many women coming and going from the L R . Fortunately, Not one of them raised the issue. And I "Fool" no one! I should also like to report that many LR s have floor to ceiling masonry walls and a they have the latest invention, DOORS! So get and get out as quickly as possible. Don't linger! And you'll be ok.
