Why ? Corporations are a VOLUNTARY association of people. Why SHOULDN'T THEY have First Amendment Rights ?! And only a tiny minority of corporations in teh U.S. gross more tahn $10 million a year. Many corporations are mom-and-pop musiness or family businesses.<quoted text>
Stop painting me with a braod brush. I am opposed to corporations having the right to give unlimited political contributions.
My father founded and owned 3 corporations, and owned them all at the same time. None ever grossed more than $5 million a year. And his gross income was never more than $100,000 a year. And that's fairly typical of small family businesses. Are you saying that the stockholdres of those companies, i.e. my family, should not have been allowed to spend whatever we want to put up campaign sings on our property or buy radio ads supporting a candidate or an issue ?
If you do say that's wrong, YOU are wrong, because SCOTUS says you're wrong. And if you don't support the First Amendment, YOU are UNAMERICAN.
And please point all out the "exceptions" in the First Amendment where it says it doesn't apply to corporations.
