If gays are fired simply because they are gay they should sue.

All this bill will do is make it so that businesses won't be able to fire queers for any reason. Queers will take advantage of this by goofing off, calling in sick all the time and basically just doing whatever they want because they know they can't be fired. If the company does try to fire them they will yell discrimination.

this isn't like race discrimination. I would think with super extra benefits and protections that a lot of straights will identify as bi or gay to get the benefits themselves. let's face it, unlike color or race that you can't phony, anyone can all of a sudden identify as gay by just saying they are.

What an ignorant statement! Anyone who is gay or white or straight or black or Christian or male or female can be fired if they don't do their job.

You'll make up any lie to make sure gays are still not protected and open season to discrimination unlike the other protected categories like gender, race, religion, and disability. You have a problem with gays and that's all there is to it.

Like it or not, the only reason a half of a gymnasium full of lawyers would consider this ia because of more business, duh.

It will lead to fewer unemployment, medicare, welfare, and food-stamp costs, while harming only the irrational bigots.

A win all around.

Of course I can't say that it won't lead to a wave of lawsuits. I'm certain there may be some at least. But what I can say is in the UK the majority of employers have had an 'equal opportunities' policy in place for many a year and suing for unfair dismissal occasionally happens but 'gay' definitely does Not stand out as being among the commonest reasons

No, when this becomes law all I have to do is state to my works HR dept that I am Bi so I can change at will, but be one of the protected species. There's no medical test that can prove otherwise. So gays, thanks for all the new protected status. You think it will be just for your group when a simple statement can give all workers equal bennies.

Lookie here...we have a psychic who can predict the future. And thinks that being gay makes a person lazy and a liar. Typical idiot bigot who knows SO MUCH about people he's never even met. LOL!
