While I'm happy this person has found peace I have a real problem with people who do as this person did.
One day, while resting on a rock in Central Park, Buechner made up her mind to start living as a woman.
This is what happens in most cases when people take the medical profession and go around the safety gates set in place taking matters into their own hands. Self medicating decided if they are candidates for surgeries without having letters of recommendation.
There were bouts of drinking and "half-hearted" suicide attempts.
She travelled to Thailand for sex-reassignment surgery, but the doctor turned out to be a "butcher" and she later needed corrective surgery.
Transition isn't a game it isn't a bobbie and it should be undertaken by people who decide on their own to do it. It is a medical procedure used by trained medical professionals to help individuals diagnosis with GID.
