020: And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;
021: I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.
022: And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.
023: And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?
024: Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?
025: That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?
026: And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.
027: And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am but dust and ashes:
028: Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it.
029: And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty's sake.
030: And he said unto him, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.
031: And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty's sake.
032: And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.
033: And the LORD went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.

Genesis, Chapter 21
001: And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.
002: For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.
003: And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.
004: And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him.
005: And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.
006: And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me.
007: And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.
008: And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned.
009: And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking.
010: Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.
011: And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight because of his son.
012: And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.
013: And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.
014: And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.
015: And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.
016: And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept.
017: And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.

018: Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.
019: And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.
020: And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.
021: And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.
022: And it came to pass at that time, that Abimelech and Phichol the chief captain of his host spake unto Abraham, saying, God is with thee in all that thou doest:
023: Now therefore swear unto me here by God that thou wilt not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son's son: but according to the kindness that I have done unto thee, thou shalt do unto me, and to the land wherein thou hast sojourned.
024: And Abraham said, I will swear.
025: And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water, which Abimelech's servants had violently taken away.
026: And Abimelech said, I wot not who hath done this thing: neither didst thou tell me, neither yet heard I of it, but to day.
027: And Abraham took sheep and oxen, and gave them unto Abimelech; and both of them made a covenant.
028: And Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves.
029: And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What mean these seven ewe lambs which thou hast set by themselves?
030: And he said, For these seven ewe lambs shalt thou take of my hand, that they may be a witness unto me, that I have digged this well.
031: Wherefore he called that place Beersheba; because there they sware both of them.
032: Thus they made a covenant at Beersheba: then Abimelech rose up, and Phichol the chief captain of his host, and they returned into the land of the Philistines.
033: And Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba, and called there on the name of the LORD, the everlasting God.
034: And Abraham sojourned in the Philistines' land many days.

Leviticus, Chapter 3
001: And if his oblation be a sacrifice of peace offering, if he offer it of the herd; whether it be a male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before the LORD.
002: And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill it at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron's sons the priests shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.
003: And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire unto the LORD; the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,
004: And the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away.
005: And Aaron's sons shall burn it on the altar upon the burnt sacrifice, which is upon the wood that is on the fire: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
006: And if his offering for a sacrifice of peace offering unto the LORD be of the flock; male or female, he shall offer it without blemish.
007: If he offer a lamb for his offering, then shall he offer it before the LORD.
008: And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron's sons shall sprinkle the blood thereof round about upon the altar.
009: And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire unto the LORD; the fat thereof, and the whole rump, it shall he take off hard by the backbone; and the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,
010: And the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away.
011: And the priest shall burn it upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire unto the LORD.
012: And if his offering be a goat, then he shall offer it before the LORD.
013: And he shall lay his hand upon the head of it, and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation: and the sons of Aaron shall sprinkle the blood thereof upon the altar round about.
014: And he shall offer thereof his offering, even an offering made by fire unto the LORD; the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,
015: And the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away.
016: And the priest shall burn them upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire for a sweet savour: all the fat is the LORD'S.
017: It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that ye eat neither fat nor blood.

But here is an artist. He desires to paint you the dreamiest, shadiest, quietest, most enchanting bit of romantic landscape in all the valley of the Saco. What is the chief element he employs? There stand his trees, each with a hollow trunk, as if a hermit and a crucifix were within; and here sleeps his meadow, and there sleep his cattle; and up from yonder cottage goes a sleepy smoke. Deep into distant woodlands winds a mazy way, reaching to overlapping spurs of mountains bathed in their hill-side blue. But though the picture lies thus tranced, and though this pine-tree shakes down its sighs like leaves upon this shepherd's head, yet all were vain, unless the shepherd's eye were fixed upon the magic stream before him. Go visit the Prairies in June, when for scores on scores of miles you wade knee-deep among Tiger-lilies- what is the one charm wanting?- Water- there is not a drop of water there! Were Niagara but a cataract of sand, would you travel your thousand miles to see it? Why did the poor poet of Tennessee, upon suddenly receiving two handfuls of silver, deliberate whether to buy him a coat, which he sadly needed, or invest his money in a pedestrian trip to Rockaway Beach? Why is almost every robust healthy boy with a robust healthy soul in him, at some time or other crazy to go to sea? Why upon your first voyage as a passenger, did you yourself feel such a mystical vibration, when first told that you and your ship were now out of sight of land? Why did the old Persians hold the sea holy? Why did the Greeks give it a separate deity, and own brother of Jove? Surely all this is not without meaning. And still deeper the meaning of that story of Narcissus, who because he could not grasp the tormenting, mild image he saw in the fountain, plunged into it and was drowned. But that same image, we ourselves see in all rivers and oceans. It is the image of the ungraspable phantom of life; and this is the key to it all.

Now, when I say that I am in the habit of going to sea whenever I begin to grow hazy about the eyes, and begin to be over conscious of my lungs, I do not mean to have it inferred that I ever go to sea as a passenger. For to go as a passenger you must needs have a purse, and a purse is but a rag unless you have something in it. Besides, passengers get sea-sick- grow quarrelsome- don't sleep of nights- do not enjoy themselves much, as a general thing;- no, I never go as a passenger; nor, though I am something of a salt, do I ever go to sea as a Commodore, or a Captain, or a Cook. I abandon the glory and distinction of such offices to those who like them. For my part, I abominate all honorable respectable toils, trials, and tribulations of every kind whatsoever. It is quite as much as I can ..........

A Brief History of Gummy Bears

In the Beginning"¦

In 1920, a poor confectionery factory worker in Bonn, Germany, decided that it was high time he struck out on his own. Armed with nothing but a bag of sugar, a marble slab, a kettle, an oven and a rolling pin, Hans Riegel began whipping up hard candies in his kitchen, which his wife would then deliver from the basket of her bike. The new company was called Haribo—a smash up of Hans Riegel of Bonn.

hariboAfter two years of middling profits, the Riegels realized that they'd need a gimmick and fast to keep competitive. Noticing the popularity of the soft gelatin-based candies of their competitors and thinking, well, children like bears, the Riegels decided to make their next product a soft, fruit-flavored chew in the shape of a dancing bear (Tanzbär). The original bear was a bit taller and more svelte than the gummy bear (or, in German, gummibär) we all know and love, but it was an instant hit with children in Bonn.

By 1930, the two-man family operation had evolved into factory of 160. By the beginning of World War II, Haribo had more than 400 employees churning out 10 tons of candy each day. World War II was a disaster for the company—Hans Riegel, Sr. died, his two sons were prisoners of war, and Haribo was down to 30 employees—but the company limped on. When the two sons returned, they brought the company back from the edge and revived it such that by 1950, they employed more than 1,000 workers. From there, the world: Haribo consumed its confectionery competitors and built more factories in markets across Europe, changed its bear shape to the now classic, smushy Gold Bear shape, and entered the US in 1982.

001: And the LORD spake unto Moses and to Aaron, saying,
002: Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When any man hath a running issue out of his flesh, because of his issue he is unclean.
003: And this shall be his uncleanness in his issue: whether his flesh run with his issue, or his flesh be stopped from his issue, it is his uncleanness.
004: Every bed, whereon he lieth that hath the issue, is unclean: and every thing, whereon he sitteth, shall be unclean.
005: And whosoever toucheth his bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
006: And he that sitteth on any thing whereon he sat that hath the issue shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.

008: And if he that hath the issue spit upon him that is clean; then he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
009: And what saddle soever he rideth upon that hath the issue shall be unclean.
010: And whosoever toucheth any thing that was under him shall be unclean until the even: and he that beareth any of those things shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
011: And whomsoever he toucheth that hath the issue, and hath not rinsed his hands in water, he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
012: And the vessel of earth, that he toucheth which hath the issue, shall be broken: and every vessel of wood shall be rinsed in water.
013: And when he that hath an issue is cleansed of his issue; then he shall number to himself seven days for his cleansing, and wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in running water, and shall be clean.
014: And on the eighth day he shall take to him two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, and come before the LORD unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and give them unto the priest:
015: And the priest shall offer them, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him before the LORD for his issue.
016: And if any man's seed of copulation go out from him, then he shall wash all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the even.

026: Every bed whereon she lieth all the days of her issue shall be unto her as the bed of her separation: and whatsoever she sitteth upon shall be unclean, as the uncleanness of her separation.
027: And whosoever toucheth those things shall be unclean, and shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.

031: Thus shall ye separate the children of Israel from their uncleanness; that they die not in their uncleanness, when they defile my tabernacle that is among them.
032: This is the law of him that hath an issue, and of him whose seed goeth from him, and is defiled therewith;
033: And of her that is sick of her flowers, and of him that hath an issue, of the man, and of the woman, and of him that lieth with her that is unclean.

All you have done here is push me further away from christianity. I dont care that you condemn homosexuality. It is your religious freedom to do so. However I do find it odd that instead of focusing on my question you attacked my character. It makes me think that my question has hit a nerve.

So I ask again. Is homosexuality the only unforgivable sin? Has God forgiven all sins but homosexuality.

One person mentioned that homosexuality just comes up more often. However i see more obese people in this world. I hear more people using the lords name in vein than I do homosexuals. I see a country ripe with sloth, Gluttony, greed, Lust, Wrath *which you have shown* envy, and pride is a huge one. We take alot of pride as americans.

t's because of the Jesuit agents masquerading as servants of righteousness, spreading all their filth on here without pause, as well as the Adventist "worldlings" which fail to represent Christ in character and cry foul any time they are rightfully rebuked.

There is rarely, if ever, a fruitful discussion here which results in men accepting a plain Biblical testimony as truth even though they previously had differing views on the subject. Nearly every thread is derailed as soon as it begins; whether it be by the self-righteous ALF talking about the Trinity, Rockroller constantly condemning Paul's writings, or others with similar tactics.

Not to mention the fact that as soon as difference of opinion is clear the thread quickly descends into a never-ending name calling, character bashing inferno.

All of this is but the purpose of the adversary of souls to make Adventism appear disgusting and Christless in the eyes of those who visit this place; and the human instruments are playing right into his hands.

It has to be the info in Revelation 10 the Angel coming down with the rainbow which is a sign of the Covenant = 10 commandments. This symbolism takes us back to Sinai which announced by trumpet blasts the giving of the 10 commandments. Revelation 14:6,7 also links the Anti-typical Day of A with Creation. Trumpets is also related to Creation and Sabbath

http://www.abcog.org/trumpts.htm

Non SDA source relates it to the birthday of the world

If it relates to the creation of our planet then it is definitely tied into the 1st Angels message. Worship him that created the heavens and the earth.

<quoted text>In the discussion below, we begin with a statement on homosexuality written by the foremost modern authority on the Book of Leviticus, Rabbi Jacob Milgrom. Following that very interesting statement, will be added the opinions and viewpoints of Rabbi Steinberg-Caudill, followed by the opinion of his teacher and Rav, Rabbi Gershon Winkler. That opinion is then followed with an article by Rabbi Michael Lerner.
That we may disagree on minor issues related to this very important subject is to be expected. In fact, Judaism encourages sincere dispute and amicable dialogue. It is our obligation as Jews to question and wrestle with the use of these Torah texts in the continued discrimination of gays and lesbians. And, it is most important to see where we agree, not so much where we disagree.
The four Bible scholars and teachers quoted below have each come to a slightly different conclusion about whether homosexuality is actually prohibited in the text and time period of the Torah.
* Rabbi Jacob Milgrom says that, YES, the Bible prohibits homosexual behavior. However, only in the land of Israel and only for males, and, possibly, only in certain interfamily relationships.
* Rabbi Gershon Steinberg-Caudill believes that the so-called "homosexual" act in the Bible that is prohibited is actually an act of HETEROSEXUAL SUBSTITUTION of a male in place of a female by a heterosexual male, and, possibly, may even need to be done in an idolatrous worship scenario.
Rabbi Steinberg-Caudill posits that even if Moses taught that God did command against homosexuality in the Torah (which Rabbi Steinberg-Caudill does not believe that God did), that command, like other commandments that Moses claimed as God given Torah commands, such as the command to kill the "stubborn and rebellious" son (Deuteronomy 21: 18-21), the rabbis negated totally a century after the beginning of the Christian era. The Talmudic rabbis declared that God did not say such a command through Moses. Similarly, any vestige of a supposed Torah prohibition against homosexuality also would need to be negated for this new day and age.
Rabbi Steinberg-Caudill believes that the Hebrew word that orginally conveyed the concept of what we today refer to as "homosexual" is the word סר&#14 97;ס (saris), commonly translated "eunuch".
Simply put, homosexuality is defined as a man desiring another man for his sexual partner. In ancient times, a eunuch was chosen to guard the king's harem. The eunuch could be trusted to guard a king's harem, often because he had been castrated and could not produce offspring.
