You'd think one of them with some money would buy a big house or a multi- family rental and only rent to transgender people and quit f#$%ing complaining about housing discrimination.

As a landlord, I can tell you we are already under scrutiny as to who we can and cannot rent to. Because of these laws, it ruined countless neighborhoods and suburbs.
There was a story a few years ago about an Ohio landlord. He advertised his apartments with no pets. He got a call from some guy who said he wanted an exception for his dog because his dog kept him out of depression. The landlord told him no pets allowed. A day or two went by, and another person called asking for an exception for her cat. The cat helped her with some other mental condition she had. Again, the landlord said no.
About a month later, the state of Ohio sent him two fines for medical discrimination. Apparently, the guy with the dog and the women with the cat never existed. They were state agents looking to setup this landlord. Each fine was $5,000.
He called his lawyer who advised him to pay the $10,000. He said a fight with the state would be a long and dragged out one even though the lawyer felt he had a good case. He and his client would have to drive down to Columbus from Cleveland each and every court case and appeal. It would cost him more money to fight the charges instead of paying the fine.
About a year later, I had a person contact me for one of my apartments asking for an exclusion for their pet due to some mental condition. I wrote back that the pet is fine with me, provided they have insurance to protect my property from animal damage and a prescription from their doctor that states the necessity of the pet. They never contacted me back. It's a good thing I was familiar with that story about the landlord that got screwed by the state of Ohio.
