Hi! I wanted to share with you all my upcoming documentary film "Project THEY." Project THEY is a storytelling project, offering a platform for all types of transfeminine experiences in S. Asia to be heard and dig deeply into the lives and struggles of trans women one the Indian Subcontinent. Many trans women in India have no employment opportunities besides sex work, and must choose that or begging in order to live as their true gender. We hope to give trans women from all walks of life the opportunity to talk about life the way they see it, however that might be. Hijras, aravanis, kothis, and other transfeminine identifying people in S. Asia/Inida will be welcome to become a part of this film, and the finished product will be an engaging and thoughtful exploration of the intersectionality of gender, society, and identity that is relevant no matter who you may be.
Join us in this amazing journey by sharing the project and backing it on IndieGoGo. Trans stories are human stories. Trans rights are human rights. Show where you stand on equality by donating today.
