I am going to be honest with many of you. I drank the coolaid as well. I know the theory states to look at your women in your family, and based upon that, you will be one cup size less. Well if the truth be told, I am larger than my mom, and aunt, and my girl cousin.
If any of you have watched, "women in a men's prison", it features 4 transexuals who were incarcerated. But anyway, there is a transexual doctor in the film "t-girl like myself" who states that a M-F transexual's breast development is just like any other GG (genetic girl). he was the first one I ever heard state that. I must say, that my breast are independent of any growth theories placed on us as t-girls.
Now I must admit, that I have 2 girl cousins who have larger breast than me, but they are not in my immediate family.
THANK YOU for posting this!!! I've always thought that, that "one cup size less" is BS. All the women in my family are well endowed and my breasts starting growing on their own a couple years ago. I'm a large D, small DD without any hormones. I just started spiro and I fully expect to eventually develop quite large breasts. I really resent that "in the box, generalized" thinking we've
had thrown at us and I'm so glad to hear from another girl who has developed according to her genes and not some theory. Kudos to you!

Do male to female hormone treatments work faster for females who wish to enlarge their breasts? Is it dangerous for women to use?
Okay allow me to break this down real quick. Personally I feel that estrogen is more harmful for women to use than men. I say this, because women have lived a greater portion of their lives exposed to estrogen naturaly. A male who is taking estrogen will not show any negative effects. If so, it more than likely would be years after a woman would.

And considering that, here comes the irony. Estrogen is not covered for t girls to take, without a written prior authorization from your doctor. Why....because insurance companies claim that they will not insure drugs that the FDA has not approved for a certain gender, or age groups.

The way I see it, if a doctor approves a drug for prescription, then it should be covered by the insurance companies.

No surprise here, the FDA working with the insurance companies...(sigh as she rolls her eyes)

I can't wait until the public option passes. Not because I will apply, but as soon as the public option passes, the insurance companies would have to lower their premiums. And quess who will be laughing?..... me....LMAO. The insurance companies would have to lower their premuims, or pack up and leave America.....OH WAIT THERE IS NOWHERE FOR THEM TO GO LOL. The entire western hemisphere has universal healthcare.

Where I come from a girl calls that Karma. But on the real, i'm not holding my breathe.

Here is a link to a great center in America for lgbt people. They are fully staffed. Perhaps they could help you with other gender clinics around the world.

That would depend on what exactly you are looking for. But I would not order anything over the net, unless you absolutely have to. I would suggest that you contact a physician that specialize in trans healthcare. Hormones are not a game. They have to be monitored yearly by a physician. And in the begining, they monitor you twice a year.

That being said, I have known girls who used drugs similar to the one you described. Are you currently on a HRT regimine?

Ok.

The breakdown of prempro has allot more, up to three times the medroxyprogesterone then you would be given by a doctor…. Prempro is specifically designed for menopausal women
Charli gave you the best advice.
“contact a physician that specialize in trans healthcare. Hormones are not a game.”
There has been women who have died due to taking too much thinking, the more the faster… It does not work that way.
On top of that,, taking hormones will only provide needed results for a limited number of years, then it becomes a maintenance dose. So in this case, it would be best to be under a doctors care to monitor the maximum effects you can achieve safely.

I do not advise the prempro because the ratios are so far off

Hi Pgetty! I hope you are doing well…
From what I understand, there is still allot of varying information out here about that.
There is defiantly a concern about bone density. It takes both estrogen and testosterone for good bone health. From studies I have read, it is a good idea to have at least yearly doctor visits. The adrenal cortex continues to make testosterone. Some post-op’s produce mush less testosterone then natal women and of course less estrogen.
There is a study by Free University of Amsterdam "bone loss is prevented by estrogens in the absence of testosterone if estrogens are properly taken."
So I guess what I am saying is that a doctor would know best,, but I am not sure there is any clear thought on just how much is needed. Since the Women’s Health Initiative Study came out a few years back that indicated higher risk of heart problems on HRT,, The dose’s have changed greatly for women taking HRT.
-
I had ask my Endo about the study and she said: the WHI study was not conclusive for trans women. That would make perfect sense because trans women were not part of the study! There has been limited studies on trans women and HRT. But it is my guess that since most medical treatments and prescription drugs revolve legalities, keeping of records, and protection from law suits, that endos are basically bound to a set protocol.

The reason I ask is that on my last blood test, my doctor was concerned about slightly elevated liver enzymes. I am also on cholesterol meds so that might also have an effect. One thing I notice is that I am always hot. I sweat even in cold weather with slight exertion. I am not willing to ever give up my hormones so I am somewhat concerned. I am currently on 1 mg od Estrodial per day. I am going to discuss if that should be reduced some.

No, that isnt't totally true. Its mainly due to the transsexual (whatever...insert term here...) exclusions written into the vast majority of health insurance plans available today.

That is a ridiculous reason for wanting breasts. Its people like you who think of this as some sort of game that hurts the rest of us who are for real.
Just my opinion, but its based on years of observation...

All it took for me was spironoclatone, and estradiol. That did the trick. I am not going to give you my dosages, becuase the dose varies from person to person. Your doctor will have to prescribe for you what is best for your body. But I am satisfied with the results.
I hear many people claiming to go to herbs, but that is not exactly my cup of tea. I doubt the results, and nobody has come forward to any transgender conventions, taking their shirts off and saying, "LOOK AT WHAT HERBS DID FOR ME". Until then, I'm cool with my synthetic estrogens lol.
Hi, there! I have a huge question for you that really requires your assistance& proper advice. Basically, I've fully deliberated a month a go to begin transitioning. I went to a local GNC store in my hometown to purchase something that would reduce the flow of my natural hormone ( TESTERONE) in my body. The product is called GNC progesterone cream and i've been using it since the 3rd of Sept, 2010 . The directions instructed me to apply this creme for 21 days and discontinue using for 3 days. Sad to say, there were no visible progression ...so nothing has really changed. I've applied it in the back of my two ears, in the center of my hand where the elbow is attached underneath, and underneath my leg where the knee is attached above. Am i suppose to see reults using a testerone blocker or should i discontiue using it. Please help!
