Why? It was just a fun game at school for the kids. It wasn't a "Let's all become cross dressers to change and promote alternative lifestyles day".

Well, when I was a freshman at JU, I pledged a fraternity that required us to make and wear our own "burlap" underwear for the week of hell-week, and we had to dress up as girls on Hell-night and "cruise" the old Beach Blvd. bus terminal restarant for an hour. But we were 19 years old, not 6 and 7 years old.(We also received our "swats" that night with paddles we had to make and finish ourselves.) That was called "hazzing". This sort of thing is inappropriate with a children not yet out of high school.

See what these freaking gays started in todays life, When I was in the 9th grade we had what was called powder puff, where the girls dressed in football uniforms and the guys in cheer leading outfits, back the it was funny as [email protected] All beacuse in the 70's the Gay crap wasn't an issue....

Must be a sin, right? Dressing in girls clothing no more makes a boy gay than dressing like a pilot makes a person able to fly a plane. Its not hazing, the kids came up with the idea and voted on it as one of their theme days. Harmless fun for the children. The Christians are the dangerous ones if you ask me.

Just another case of the church pulling everyones strings. Leave the kids alone. They are the ones that picked the theme. If they see nothing wrong with it and show no discrimination. Then I think we need to stop and take a page from them

I have agree with most everyone that let kids be kids. These kids did nothing wrong but allow themselfs the freedom to explore who they are. I comend the school and teacher to allow these children to explore the world of ideas and things. The truely sad part for me is I am a crossdresses and only wish I would have had that chance in life to be free. These kids/children have done no wrong but have the right to FREELY express themselfs in all gender roles with it was dressing old young or gender what differance does/did it make for them to enjoy these things.
Did any one think that it may have shade some light on what elderly people go through day in and day out with walkers and canes. I bet the kids/children have a better understanding then the whiners on here that find it was wrong. Get a life is what I say.

Absolutely! Let the kids be kids. No harm in what they are doing. You have to take what icw john says with a grain of salt. He will make a negative comment on anything that he even remotely "thinks" might be GLBTQ. I guess it just shows how insecure he is in his own sexuality!

Maybe if a teacher had let you put on a dress and lipstick, you wouldn't feel the need to hate yourself...oh, I mean other gay people so much. So, you keep your cross dressing proviate, right?

You see what I mean? You should have listened to Thumper's mother as you can't say anything nice at all!! BTW, I am straight and still married to the same wonderful person for over 30 years. Our three adult children are straight and quite well adjusted as well.

I like how the knee jerk reaction is "fire the teacher!" I seriously doubt that one day as dressing as the other sex will "turn" a student gay or transgender. Since this is a school wide activity, I do not believe one teacher is behind it all. Most schools today are trying to teach students to think for themselves and participate in their education. If they choose to act with less bias then previous generations, I applaud them. When I was growing up I was a tomboy, dressing and acting like a boy. My parents did not force me to wear dresses and say "oh no! What if she is a lesbian!" As it turns out I was straight, but not stereotypical. Most kids aren't stereotypical.

I happen to work for this school district and the attention we are getting is rediculous. We are making the map for a fun day of dress up during wacky week, but not for what great achievements we've accomplished. With all that is going on in the world, why is a Christian radio talk show worried about us? I'm embarresed to be a Christian right now, that is the sad part. I am sad for all of the families that now have to explain to our children what "they" did wrong when they did nothing wrong at all. THESE ARE KIDS. What is really sad is that the person that called this in doesn't give a name so he/she can be swamped with calls and explain why he/she did what they did. They had a week to complain about the day. Do they not open their child's backpack and look at notes from school? We are a GREAT school district with wonderful teachers and students. GET A LIFE!

I truly feel for you and all the others in your school. We have gone from the land of the majority to the land of the minority. What a shame when it comes to things like this which has been going on for eons. I bet it would be difficult to find a single year book that doesn't include the crossdressing crazy days! The person that called this in is like "icw john", anonymous and only looking to create a stir. In reality, they probably don't give a rat's hiney but like seeing the fallout from what they say.

I'm sorry, but are you stupid, or had no access to the outside world when you were a child? We held a "cross dress" day at our neighboring high school (Weston) last year during homecoming. I'll admit that I dressed as a girl for the day, so did my friends, and my GIRLFRIEND dressed as a man, so did my other friends that are girls. And the next day, after the cross dress day was over, I sure do hope you're sitting in a chair because this will shock the hell out of you, I was still STRAIGHT, my GIRLFRIEND was still dating me, my other friends were still straight. Even my history teacher put on a wig and wore his WIFE'S dress to school, and he is STILL MARRIED to his WIFE. People don't realize that these days are created for fun, and as in the case of Pineview Elementary and Weston High, the students decided the activity. I sure do hope that you are getting the picture. My parents participated in the same activities when they were in high school, and so did their peers, and they're normal. That can't be real though, it must have been a coincidence with the fluxuation of the time paradox and the easterly winds were only blowing at 10 MPH while the sun was at a 45 degree angle with a 65 Temp. That's it right? It couldn't have possibly truly turned out that way without some unnatural presence. While we're at it, we might as well blame Hitler for this whole idea of a fun day for kids, see how rediculous this is getting to be ICW John? I forgive you for being homophobic :D, but let kids be kids.
