Need we Dyson to call attention to that? One of the most salient aspects of the Gospels , where women are always treated in ( to say the least ) the most " sisterly " manner . Even Mary Magdalen failed to turn Jesus on .. " GO !, and sin no more " ( " and STOP ! rubbing my feet and messing with my hair !)

His vacuum cleaners are over priced.

I heard him speak once and I think he's not above race baiting white people for little reason...although this is not to suggest that racism doesn't exist and he doesn't also make valid points about it.

Also, I wonder what it says that he's implicitly attacking christianity by suggesting it has q ueer overtones....

That sucks!

Actually Dyson vacs are an excellent buy, at least for myself and many others. Formerly I'd buy a new one every two or three years out of disgust for their ability to clean well. Can't say that for my Dyson, it just keeps on doing the job I purchased it to do as I expected the day I bought it.

Far as I'm concerned Dyson is right up there with my years of owning Apple products. They do what there suppose to do with barely a moment of problems.

Jesus''bride' is 144,000 virgin men "who did not defile themselves with women" while on earth -- He-he-hehh -- and I'm quoting directly from the book of Revelation. It doesn't get more homoerotic than that!!

And that after he walked around on earth with 12 male companions, and never married a woman.

One of those 12 companions (evidently John) was by his own testimony the one whom Jesus loved -- and he was also the one who reclined against Jesus' bosom at the Last Supper. Go check the facts.

And the founder of Christianity, Paul (Saul) of Tarsus also never married, taking a young Greek lad with him as his 'travelling companion' -- this after he personally took the young lad aside and ritualistically mutilated him.

I wanted to more specific about what the mutilation involved, but the moderators stopped me (considered it impolite to mention the anatomically correct term). However, anyone is free to go and check the record in the Bible book of Acts as to what Paul did to a young man. The facts speak for themselves, whether I use the term or not.

I think only a fundamentalist christian would consider it 'impolite' to use the p- word in reference to the male genitalia. They seem to get very squeamish at any frank discussion of human sexuality, which is why the term homophobia has special application to their type. One can see why, considering the written record in their religious book!

I seem to have been targeted by a christian Topix administrator who objects to my avatar as not being "family friendly" enough for Topix and threatens to cancel my account permanently and delete all my posts.

I fail to see how any of the posts on this forum can be considered 'family friendly' by any stretch of the imagination. The many homophobic trolls who attack our marriages on this forum with their typical vulgar, disgusting depictions of sexual acts in the crudest of terms certainly cannot be considered 'family friendly', but it would explain how they get away with it -- they are presumed to be christian defenders of the faith, which makes them 'family friendly', and anyone else who dares to portray the emblem of their religion as anything other than the epitome of goodness must by definition be an evil enemy of the christian family!

I have scrutinized the Topix Terms of Service up, down and sideways, and fail to see how my avatar violates those terms. My graphic depicts very concisely the position that I take with regard to christianity: I denounce any virulent strains of that world religion which morph into a reflection of that notorious third reich that attempted to exterminate all homosexuals in concentration camps. In that respect, my avatar is no different than, say, the member who uses the equal sign as an avatar, or the depiction of two males holding hands with wedding rings on their fingers. These are all expressions of people's basic philosophy. Mine is no different. As an expression of a personal belief, there is nothing inherently lewd in casting the christian symbol in a negative light by including a vague reference to the symbol of the 3rd Reich, especially not when a red circle and diagonal line are superimposed upon them stating: NOT ALLOWED!

Only someone who is so weak-minded to believe in talking snakes, people walking on water, and men commanding the earth to stop revolving could possibly see my avatar as a threat to families. I submit that many families would benefit from a little less mythology and a healthy dose of reality!

But keep watching this space ...

If you see my avatar suddenly disappear from all existing posts, then know that the christian Topix moderator has enforced HIS personal views and silenced me. I trust there will be other champions of the First Amendment who will stand up to such senseless behavior.

If you wish to invoke racism then why don't you tell us what percentage of black people that attend Georgetown. Is it right or wrong?

Here's an old quote:

"There's you opinion. There's my opinion. There's the expert's opinion and the idiot's opinion. Then there are the facts. None of all these are 'the truth", but a stampede has a truth all it's own so, as Oscar Wilde said, it's best not to frighten the horses."

Here's another:

"You can see and imagine gold. You can see and imagine mountain. You can only imagine a gold mountain. THAT you think is real. What you think ABOUT may not be."

and:

"Reality is that mountain over there. It was there before you arrived. Unless something truly cataclysmic occurs, it will be there after you are gone. It does not care what you think or feel about it. Reality is the rock that smashes your skull, and remains after your thinking has gone.

Since the beginning of time no man has ever conceived or given birth to a child. Now go pick up that skull of yours.
