"The Evangelical Alliance Scotland described the move as "legal fiction" and a "blow to society" at a time when Scotland is about to vote in September on whether to split from the rest of Britain and become an independent country.

"At a time in Scotland when we are considering what kind of nation we want to live in, this legislation sends all the wrong signals about the place of marriage and family in modern day Scotland," spokesman Fred Drummond told Christian Today website."

How very true!

People need to develop some common sense beyond the level of middle school.

Yes, Scotland finally woke up and realized discrimination is not a good policy.

Anything you do to make the world fair for a minority benefits the majority.

Marriage equality is not a threat to heterosexual marriage, if anything it validates marriage.

Actually surprised homosexuals value marriage, because the way heterosexuals have abused the institution, it was becoming a joke.

So let homosexuals give it a go, they cannot do worse.

You have to understand, just because you are heavily influenced by christianity doesn't mean Scotland is. About 99% of people DONT go to church, don't give a damn and couldn't care less what the church thinks. If people choose to get married, that's their business not yours.. Don't like? Me don't care. Take that bible and shove it where the sun don't shine you religious nazi

Lets face, on average gay people are much nicer than Christians.

If it's a choice of one or the other, it's christians we should ban from getting married.
