Horse Pucky.

One or two employees whined. "Christians" they call themselves. No more bigoted group than religious fanatics.

I’m a City of Richmond employee. I work with Antoinette. She is a lovely person. And I profoundly disagree with her. She states her objection for the faith-based community. I am a person of faith and a civil rights advocate. The church on my street flies the rainbow flag, as do many others. There are plenty of biblical scholars who refute use of these scriptures to support this prejudice. One cannot rightly claim this objection for the whole faith-based community. I also believe in separation of church and state. It is a really good thing to have in a multicultural democratic society where many different viewpoints and religious beliefs are respected and protected. I don’t want to see government make choices based on one particular sector of religious belief. I want to see my government support human rights, particularly for traditionally oppressed groups who do not advocate hate or harm to anyone. When one group is treated as second class citizens, our whole society is diminished.

The gay flag has no business flying on any government building. That's just plain crazy. How did you people let your country come to that?
