Well, that's just insane
There have always been GLBT people, and likely will be for the foreseeable, and the human race has multiplied quite prolifically with them present
Gay is not a 'disease' one can catch. AIDS is a disease yes from which people have died and for which there will oneday be a cure. Clamydia, which can cause infertility, and which is nearly all within the heterosexual community is now more prevalent among the under 30s than new cases of HIV. A hundred years ago people used to die from the 2 common forms of VD, both of which are treatable and less common today.
I think this bigotry and hatred is more of a threat

Perhaps 20 years is a bit too long for a person to impede development of a developing nation
