I'm just wondering about the experience of other m2f's because my own experience has confused me somewhat.

Since I started taking hormones I haven't even tried to meet men by getting on internet dating sites, going to bars - gay or mainstream - or anything like that. Despite that, in the course of my monkish/nunnish daily life, I've managed to meet three guys who were interested in having a relationship with me. One of them was strait and insisted he had never had a same-sex relationship in his life. Another was strait, but dropped enough hints to make me believe that he had strong same sex attractions and had probably followed-through on those tendencies at some points in his life. The third was so crazy and wild I couldn't really even categorize him - bisexual, I guess. At any rate he had defintely had sexual relations with several members of both genders, and at least one "transvestite" to quote him, besides me.

I'm genuinely curious about others' experiences and opinions.

Greetings, for many guys who date us, or are attracted to us, are usualy straight guys. Most gay men are not attracted to trannies. It is common knowledge among gays that they do not like transexuals. Gays are attracted to men, and not women. If you look like a woman, then they are not attracted to you.

Well that is the easy part. But the deeper part is usualy when people ask, how can a man be attracted to us, and not be gay.

I will allow the link to answer that for you.

Nice meeting you

WTF? Why is a TV taking hormones for in the first place? You should NOT be on them. Period. And one other thing: Why are you calling people "trannies?" Don't do that. And that numbskull who answered you is not much better off than you. That person claims to be TS, and yet answers happily to the call of a "tranny." You rang, lol! Geez, you people do not have a freakin clue, do you? What a huge land of make believe characters indeed.

well, Wy, just as a note, theres a socioeconomic divide that determines if tranny or trannie is acceptable.

It is just as unacceptable for you to tell her she is wrong for responding to it as it is for someone to call you such.

Oh, and fyi, some TV's do indeed take hormones, just as some TS don't. The reasons are infinite and varied, and both are fully valid within the dx.

I'm not a transvestite, I'm a pre-op transexual. My partner used the term "transvestite" when referring to someone else he'd had sex with.

I'm sorry if the word, "trannies" offended anyone. I was using it as a catch-all term to include everyone from post-op women to crossdressers, hoping to get some different perspectives from different types of transgendered people regarding what sorts of guys (or gals) are attracted to them.

This thread isn't really about classifying transgedered people, but rather, about identifying and understanding the people who might love or lust for us.

There are plenty of other forums here where a post can generate a heated argument. That wasn't my intention.

Oh, come on! Don't fight, ladies!
I like trannies so much! Had only one experience, though, but it was awesome!

I'm sure I'm not gay. I love women, and I am nothing attracted to the male body, but when a look at TV I go wild! I wish I could have a relationship with a transvestite one day... Looking forward to it...

I feel like it's so hard for people to try and catigorize ones experiance and make a general conclusion for eveyone else! We all have different feelings and react to things differently! I think it's all in the person and what they prefer that really determains the out come if any relationship! I am a pre op transexual and u have been in transition for over a year and pass very well in society and I have yet to experience any type of meaningul relationship! I'm not sure if it something I'm doing or what but I'm sure it will all work out in the end!

Depending on what country you live in, the term Tranny is not always offensive.
The word Queer was once used as offensive

Here is a article with just one perspective about the word Tranny and how it should be taken.
The calls for Tranny to be considered a dirty word have been
substantial. And they have some clear merit. Most of the time we
encounter the word in the general media it's used as a derogatory
word.

I've had a few encounters with transgender or bio ladies. I'm straight or bi and still love women. I've been in long 3 year relationships with women too. As a single man living in San Francisco, the transgender shemale ladies are really nice and respectful. Some are so gorgeous that you wish you could find a real woman with the same look and personality. I have to say that I'm very picky about which transgenders I encounter and everyone who's curious should as well. I do not go for old cross dressers, just shemales who are very naturally feminine and take care of themselves.
A lot of them do take hormones and thats fine, but some of them end up not being able to ejaculate because of it. Avoid those that take any abusive drugs, are not able to hold a proper friendly conversation and those that prostitute.
Those who are smart and have steady job and careers are good signs.

In all cases, Men who like transgendered women are respondingb to our fem side. Flip this coin to FtMs and there is no attraction. There's the Male to female mix all right, but the masculinity is dominant and therefore not desirable. Also, MtFs try harder at being female. Men love girls in skirts, big hair, stockings, high heels etc, things that many women consider to be too much trouble to bothher with. Men who like M T Fs are definitly not Gay and thank God there's so many of them. Love em' all!

I have cross dressed as a young man, and have had some same sex encounters.
I find myself wanting a male to want me. I also find myself arroused by transgendered media, but not by gay media.
I live in Asia, but find the Katoey too criminal, they are dangerous in Bankok. I am too old to pass, even if I tried.
I would like to meet a crossdresser who wants to be top. Is this impossible?

If the encounters brought your female side out, they can hardly be described as "same sex" (All eroticism is mental) Yes there are Cross Dressers who will "Top: you, but not very many.

GAY GUYS!

But really it falls into four categories: Tranny chasers, bisexuals, the clueless, and gays.

I am a TS and every guy I've been with is "sensitive"... They aren't normal "straight" guys.

I don't believe all this b-s about "if the person feels like a woman inside, they are one". That's complete b-s. All tgirls have "male" characteristics which a gay may or may not be attracted to.

As for the tranny cabal, bring it on goblins!

Really? Successful transgenders know to act like the boys. Of course, you gotta be convincing. Most women, especially women in their 20s aren't exaggerations of women. Most women act like men...Filling out the femininity in social roles and maternal roles(two things transexuals will never do, cuz they selfish)

I HATE a lot of trannies and others because it reduces women to a pre-feminist views of being stupid, idiotic and weak.

Twink,Males who transgender don't just feel like a women;they were born with female brains.TS is the external expression of this.It is not a choice.Yes,TS can also desire men.I have always liked female;but I am developing like for male also. It's normal;you are developing into what you always are,a woman.

Twink, most women ACT the way they believe men want them to act;they don't act like men per se.As for maternal roles,Males and M2F can breast feed;even with implants.Women and M2F[tranny is a degrading term]are NOT stupid, idiotic,or weak. They may appear that way only to PLEASE others*****.

I prefer the more respctful "Admirers", Gays never, ever are attracted to Transexuals. Most Gays can't stand to be in the same roonm with us. Clueless about what? If they're are genuinely clueless about us, they learn rather quickly that we're special women. OK you don't believe it, I do! After fighting this off for fifty years, in retrospect, I know exactly what I was and wasn't.
