Prosecutors dropped battery charges this week in the case against transgender teen, Jewlyes Gutierrez, after the girl completed a restorative justice program.

She should NEVER have been charged in the first place. Her attacker(s) should have been arrested, tried and convicted of felonious assault.

The DAs say they can't turn a blind eye to violence, but of course they did.
There was a case in Philly of an lgbt teen who was (more overtly, apparently,) harassed by a group of teens on a bus. He tried to run away, and after being chased stabbed one of the pursuers with a knife. I forget if the pursuing bigot died, but I recall the Philly DA, one of the most savagely hard as sed in the nation, dismissed any charges against the student who did the stabbing. Which was obviously correct.
