<quoted text>You are soliciting for murder, which is a felony. How many years in prison are you willing to serve in order to express your hatred against something or someone you don't understand? Do you know what living in prison is like? Think about that before you make criminal threats. If I happened to be the transwoman you are threatening, I would visit the District Attorney to find out if you can be traced and charges brought against you.
Thanks Jeremy.

Yes we can make appointments at anytime, but the front office staff will be expecting us on the days of the clinic, so our hope is that we get proper treatment from them and that there will be other trans people there on that day may make it more comfortable for the newbies :) Cause people like those who have posted are in fact everywhere.
more special catering for this crowd. when will this end, and having sent a doc for training in san fran was this privately generated income? Still I would like to see a investigation done by the board of open door to determine if having a special day would in fact hurt the public overall. I agree that if there is a properly trained medical staff available at open door, then the trans community can schedule a appointment just like myself. To justify this by easing the feelings of a newbie, that just goes to prove my original point.

This is a wonderful and necessary service. I know a trans man who died from an asthma attack because he was discriminated against in trying to seek health care. This is such important work. In response to the people who have commented against this, when mainstream providers treat everyone equally, with dignity and respect then this clinic won't be necessary anymore. Until then, it will save lives and that is the bottom line.

What are your special health concerns? Transgender "women" are nothing more than perverted men with tits. Cut your peckers off and be done with it.

I've got a rare disease. One that local physcians don't know how to recognize or treats. Can I get a special clinic for me? No. That's because I don't have a PAC
like the gender-benders.

I was just noticing most all the really negative comments are coming from Eureka. Might be one person using several different names. Kind of like the person from Pekin.

how much in financial support from the state/fed are paid to offset the cost of all these transgendered visits? How much of taxpayer money is going to subsidize transgender medication and possible prosthetics?

is the everyday taxpayer who reads this blog willing to give up even more of their already dwindling cash for this feel good program that is admittantly for only .5% population yet on a percentile they reserve more time with local physicians than the non-transgenderd individual, thus the 'gay mafia' wins again.

It is a choice to become trans, and it should be 100% of your own cost with zero help from county sponsored medical programs and medications.

Once again it is only three hours one day a month. The once a month clinic here in Portland is staffed by doctors that volunteer. A doctor treating a transperson has to have at least some specialized knowledge. I would bet that it is very little taxpayer money since the operation is not covered by insurance for the most part and our government definitely does not cover it. The hormones are covered by insurance and for MTF's are not expensive anyway.

The LesbiGays are like the Zion-ist fanboys: if you question giving billions to Israel or question whether what they are doing to Palestinians is moral, then you are an anti-semite!

So, unless you believe in giving special favors and money to LesbiGays, then you are a hater and bigot!

What a great way to spend the few dollars we do not have. Pandering to the GLBQT community like this does nothing more than separate the people and draw a line between us.
When all services are being slashed was this expense really necessary? Is this yet another feel good PC project that is absurd, I believe so.
So we should just throw the GLBT to the road side provide no medical support for transsexuals so that every one gets along?

I guess Lincoln should have just turned his back on the slaves so there wasn't a fight. Or American should have just ignored the attack on pearl harbor so there wouldn't be a fight.

I know for a fact that at least where i live there are free/low cost government run clinics for straight people. But transsexuals aren't good enough to be treated?

How much of transgender tax money goes to help fun clinics for those who cant afford it if they are straight. Being that i am currently in my psychology class and we are studying transsexualism i can tell you now it is not a choice. It is however both biologically and socially driven. Biologically because we do feel this way and socially because society decides what is male and what is female.

Nobody has "a special ride." This is a one-day a month clinic for a community that otherwise has no service at all.
Nothing is being taken away from you. You still have your reserved place at the head of the line. You still have all the goodies you had before. You still got “yours.”
Why would a conservative begrudge health care for a group of people who have a hard or impossible time finding it?
Why is it "liberal" to want everyone to have a chance to be healthy and safe?
Because the neocons call everything they know nothing about or don't like liberal. As for health care for trannies-I don't give a hoot either way.

What I want to know is who in the hell made the decision to open a clinic to these perverts in Humboldt county? I'd like to see some names. It is sad to watch our county literally going to the dogs with the wacko-liberals who are in charge of our county government. How far is all this going to go before "we the people" throw all these idiots and fools out of decision making positions?

Was our "rural community chosen because we are opening the Tydd Street open door clinic? Wouldn't this have been a great hit on the Halvorson Park property which was the preferred sight? Eufreaka indeed!

I am appalled by the hate and venom in some of these comments-even to the point of threatening to shoot a trans person who is part of OUR community of human beings in Humboldt County. This "controversy" over a 3 hour health clinic is not about so-called special rights or taxpayer dollars. The problem lies with the commenters' ignorance and fear. I feel sorry for anyone who has that much hatred in their hearts. It must be a miserable existence. I might suggest some therapy. If you can't afford it, the County Health System may be able to help you out. Good luck to you.

I shouldn't be shocked at all the ignorance flying around this forum, but I am. Are you people serious? What century do we live in? I am proud to have a transgender friend and am even more proud that I can support his happiness just by respecting his wishes. Nothing more and nothing less. You people sound nuts. Just because you feel uneasy or don't have a clue about something doesnt mean you have to let it turn into hate. I fully support the GLBQT community!

Transpeople are humans and many pay taxes also. This is being offered for three hours once a month. The money being spent on this is far from a significant amount, or are you of the opinion that Transpeople should be denied heath care?
Of those who became "Transgendered" I wonder how many actually DO pay taxes and the percentage. That being said, how many of the operations were done on the taxpayer's dime. I'm sure there's some grant money available for THAT study - provided the results are favorable to the LGBT slant ...

And people wonder why health care costs keep skyrocketing. What percentage of the operations were covered by insurance? Why should straight people have to pay exorbitant prices for health insurance policies that cover transgender operations? It is akin to paying for 500 TV channels when you only watch 5. I don't care what you do with your life but I don't want it to cost me and it does and it IS.

This country can not sustain this touchy feely madness.

JMHO.
