ACLU: Conn. School Wrong to Outlaw Anti-Gay Shirt
The American Civil Liberties Union on Tuesday said a Connecticut high school violated a student's rights to free expression by asking him to remove a T-shirt with an anti-gay message.

Would they let students wear t shirts with anti black,anti muslim, anti abortion ect,ect.....I think not
So they are right in not allowing it to be worn.

High School Administrations are responsible for ensuring the safety of their students. Lots of schools have dress codes--anything profane, or referencing drugs or violence, basically anything that they would consider harmful to the health and well-being of their students, is not allowed to be worn. A "hate shirt" would fall under that category.
So as far as I'm concerned, this is nothing new. I don't know what the ACLU is smoking.
