This makes very little sense. There is no real road back there, nor is there any indicators that tracks are there. No arms or signs.

"Another lawsuit" and "need more info". How dumb are you. Seems to me a parked train car is a pretty good roadblock. Nothing else would have stopped them but them.
You don't have a clue as to what you just wrote. That street continues from Railroad with a sign that designates it a street and by law it has to be signed to warn of an end to the street. You are just like all the other uninformed individuals in this town that wants to run your face off the page not knowing a damn thing about anything. A good lawyer will have the city bent over the table and greased up, squealing like a pig. Check your MUTCD book before you run off at the mouth again....

i just love how people judge.(NOT!) "that's how god gets rid of stupid people?" has he told you this? I'm surprised how you use his name without knowing the situation, and put abuse his name as such. you don't know that or anything about the situation.

Look at the picture. Just how fast do you think the pickup was going to cause that much damage? Seems to me that the amount of recklessness that shows, combined with any governmental immunity that may come into play will pretty much rule out a lawsuit. And that is if no alcohol or drug involvement is found.

@Mom1971 - I hope your son heals quickly and recovers fully! There are a lot of people praying for him!

Very sad for the loss of 2 young men no matter the circumstances!

A lesson learned, even if it saves one life then they didn't die in vane!

I believe there is a Dead End sign on that street. There is also a stop sign when crossing Railraod Ave. Plus adding to the fact that the speed limit is 25mph on all non-posted streets, they should have never been going fast enough to hit a parked train.
I'm just glad nobody was driving down Railroad ave when they blew through the stop sign, or there could have been more deaths.

It's not posted from the intersection of Railroad and State Street south. It has to have an ending barracade at the end of the street. More proof that this city is soooo uninformed

I guess what everyone is wanting to know is who was all in the vehicle? Were they on drugs and that's why there were no skid marks to stop?

Don't hold your breath on that. The laws very clear about anyone (private or public) preforming an act that creates negligence resulting in injures or death. The city has the rule book and knows the law that is set out to protect the public. It's the city's responsibility to provide the proper signage to alert and protect the citizens from this kind of an act whether to themselves or to other citizens. It'll be investigated by the proper authorities that will operate to keep this city in alignment with all state and Federal laws to protect the citizens in Ft.Morgan. like it or not or whether you prosecute the city or not....
