So, Amazed, are you suggesting that you & I use the same computer? It was all done by bogus means. A single sultan's hurt feelings. But the news will not stop. Sure, some will choose not to report the news, but that does not mean there is not news. I would expect a nice headline Wednesday announcing that Sean, the much vilified, slandered officer (of good faith and good standing) was vindicated!

And then on Friday, well you know what story I will hope to see reported....

According to Santa Fe, the results of this won't be made public until December, so unless they too are part of the plot to keep
news out of the paper, I believe you are wrong.

Wouldn't, "I am sorry that the posters have pushed the envelope, we will restrain ourselves from now on" suffice?
Sorry is a word that goes a long way in this world.

So many people leave the Ruidoso News Topix, or refuse to participate, because of the men spirited and offensive responses.

That is sad.

The Ruidoso News has served Lincoln County for decades. If you don't like it, or specific reporters, or the editor, please feel free not to buy the newspaper nor read the on-line version.
We still have such freedoms in America. It's a freedom - a choice - we should treasure.

Better still... if you think you can do better please feel free to set up shop and start your own newspaper.

This country was founded on the promise that if you feel that you have something to contribute, no-one is going to stop you.

It's a crying shame to be nothing more than an armchair quarterback taking slaps at other journalists, if you can do so much better yourself.

Get up off that chair and join the game for goodness sakes.

I agree, The RN is not the problem.Example, Sean V Mcgarry does not like his affairs made public, but because they are public information, they are news. And the facts were derived from public officials in Santa Fe through the proper channels I am sure. That is why he is so upset. Facts are Facts. Don't shoot the messenger, so to speak.Get over it. Opinions are just opinions. Every one has one.If you don't agree, grow up and have a logical debate.

If you feel that....Then DON'T read it!

And IF you can do better, and you feel enough conviction, start your own un-biased newspaper. What a WONDERFUL opportunity for you. America has free market. Competition isn't a bad thing.. it's a good thing. Let's see what YOU can do.

The only thing stopping you would be capability. If you are not capable of doing better, and you want to criticize those who are doing, then the problem is you. Not the newspaper.

So prove it and move on. And remember, reporting a
news story , such as a recap of a meeting that has been and is usually taped, is written as documented facts. And public information, recieved from public records, is also documented facts. Again, opinions are just that...opinions.

You know what's unfortunate? The timing of the whole "blog crackdown". People may have complained, but you know the "blogs" are now dead. Dead. Over. And just in time for a new paper to unveil? People are hungry for news and discussion...

Right you are, Krepps. In a piece out today from Alex Jones, he complains that the Oath Keepers movement "and his ilk" have been maligned by the Anti-Defamation League. Says Jones about an article written against him by the ADL, "The ADL's hit piece basically implies that Alex Jones and his ilk are such a threat to the establishment that they should be removed from society, which ironically is exactly how Hitler dealt with his political enemies in Nazi Germany."

Yesterday, Editor Racine's wife Glynis appeared before a meeting of the County Commissioners to present them with a document to sign (giving an oath) in which they promise to honor the 1st Amendment of the Constitution and freedom of speech.

Do you see a problem here? The Editor denies free speech to the bloggers at the same time as his wife demands adherance to the free speech Amendment to the Constitution! Yes, we have Nazis amongst us.

Enough with the Nazi stuff already. Nowhere, in any shape or form, does Mr. Racine's action in this instance parallel Nazism in 1930s/40s Germany. You may not like what he (or his wife) are doing, but they are not Nazis. When you bring up ridicuolous things like this you debase the entire conversation and make yourself sound foolish in the process.

Why the lie? Oh wait let me guess this company stole your family crest and used it on their site. Dang you all make it so easy to catch you in your lies.
Why not come clean and say who you really are then we can put all this silliness behind us. Why on earth is that so hard? Come on this game is getting a little old, grow some stones.
Racquel Morris I have answered to this in another thread and still you come up with that same crap again. MY Bavarian Crest is a pic I have shot and besides I don't know why this matters to you at all and what it would say about who I am?

And why would I tell you who I am - more than I already did - you should have read my posts so you would know who I am. You know Racquel, you have me curious why an Alamogordo citizen like you is so interested in me? Don't you have enough to do with your two boys of which one sure needs a lot of attention and care.

Can it be you just love to read your words in blogs? You mentioned your website in your profile and going from there google brought lots and lots of hits for your and your husband's name. You guys are posting on all kind of blogs about all kind of subjects and of course you are experts on each.

Calm down Racquel, stop this fight it won't lead you anywhere. Face it I am in Germany, I am German and I am posting here because I have friends in Capitan and Lincoln County. I don't care whether or not you like this, just get it!

You still don't get it Pinky - I am a registered member of Topix and I didn't violate their Terms of Service. Besides, I do not spill (see the correct spelling) anti-American opinions - I am writing about facts and maybe I love America more than you do because I don't glorify it - I love the U.S.A. although I know there are positive AND negative sides (like always and everywhere).

You are write insults and made up crap in all of your posts. Everyone can see who you are and everyone can see who I am, Pinky. I started biting your ankles when I've had it with your insults and the crap you write about me. The posts are still there... read and shame!

I know what disdain you have for dictionaries but geez, Barfy, read and learn. The word has German origins, for heaven's sake.

Entry: spiel
Pronunciation:\ˈsp ēl\
Function: verb
Etymology: German spielen to play, from Old High German spilōn; akin to Old English spilian to revel
Date: 1870
intransitive verb
1 : to play music
2 : to talk volubly or extravagantly
transitive verb
: to utter, express, or describe volubly or extravagantly
— spiel·er \ˈspē-l& #601;r\ noun
****By the way spieler, you have violated the Terms of Service of Topix. Can't you just go away?

Too funny when you try to teach me my own mother tongue. You should at least make sure to get it right in the first place.

What you meant to use is not spielen or spiel but it is "sich aufspielen" - different from what you posted and way different from how you used "spiel anti-American opinion" this does not exist in German language. Nobody understands what you want to say when you post this. Sorry, you'd better stick to your own language, dear.

And no, I did not violate the rules of Topix. If they ban me they have to ban most other posters her including and first of all: Pinky and pinky.
