Unspoken - Who You Are
"I know that look you're giving,
Like you've got something to prove
'Cause I have walked for miles and miles
In that same pair of shoes
You refuse forgiveness
Like it's something to be earned
Sometimes pain's the only way that we can learn
You can never fall too hard,
So fast, so far
That you can't get back
When you're lost
You can change who you are"

Your welcome.

Where I live has a positive hits radio station. You can buy the CDs at Best Buy or download individual songs from ITunes.

The music better express my feelings about being a Christian then my own words ever could.:)

Awesome lyrics! I especially like the one above... You see, years ago I do believe I was called to be a missionary. I did not heed the call, so my life has taken a different direction. It's all good, and God makes great things happen out of any situation, whether good, or bad...
*So for now I'm here, and I have met wonderful people like you...:) xo SL

I was raised a Methodist. We have female ministers. Even the Bishop for our district is a woman. I almost went to college become a minister, but God had a different path for me. I seem to keep wander off the path he has for me, but something always happens that pulls me back to God.:)

Another awesome song! I like when it says, If I could have my life back, how I would live... It's kinda like the poem the 'Dash'

Has anyone ever heard this before?

* What do you think of Psalm 117 - being the shortest chapter of the Bible. Then, Psalm 119 - being the longest.

The center chapter being 118.

There are 594 chapters before ch.18
There are 594 chapters after ch. 18 *
Add them together = 1188

*Stay with me now...
What is the center verse in the Bible? Psalm 118:8 Cool huh?

*What does Psalm 118:8 say? It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

Coincidence? or God's plan...
Just thought it was kinda cool...:)

Love & kindness to all who enter... SL

I'm not meaning to ruffle any feathers here, I would just like a simple and honest answer from a Christian for once and I've been asking this question for many years while living in the bible belt buckle and have never received anything satisfactory and that includes asking preachers, pastors, priests and a bishop.

Coincidentally you brought up Psalm 118:8 which coincides with my question. How can you trust in the Lord and the "Lord's words" in the bible when the bible has been altered over 70 times by man and thousands of words and entire phrases have been mistranslated by man?

Right now, ironically, you're trusting in man's words because you're reading an altered and mistranslated bible.

Please explain why you're not upset and alarmed first off and why you're not actively searching for an unaltered, true version of your own bible so you can be satisfied in knowing as best you can it's from your Lord?

Hello Jusayin_... Sorry it too so long to post, but I have been very busy..

No ruffled feathers here, as that is a good question.

*I believe I can help with an answer...:)

I will explain as simple as I can.... I can fill blanks, if you have additional questions along the way.

Sin started in the 'Garden of Eden.'
Since that time until now, Satan knowing his demise, has set forth to destroy God's word.

With the bible being carefully inspired, One of Satan's major attacks involved the 'Apocrypha.' These were Jewish semi-historical moral stories written after Malachi and before Jesus came...

From these came purgatory, prayers for the dead, and other perversions of God's word now taught by the Roman Catholic system.(Some of these stories were about the Maccabees)

(*Are ya with me far?) Look up these things if you are not familiar with them...

The Maccabees were idolized as 'Jewish Freedom Fighters' and their books were called"scripture" by the Catholic Council of Trent.

*These were 'not' God's words. True Christians have always rejected them, but today they are showing up in modern Bibles produced by the Catholics and influenced by the Jesuits.

As Satan kept trying to desperately put in his 'Apocrypha' into the Old Testament (OT), it was rejected and denounced by most Jewish rabbis as counterfeit.

Satan also used the intellectuals in Alexandria, Egypt, to mutilate the OT & the NT manuscripts of God's word. They produced a mess called the 'Alexandrian manuscripts."

Satan 'uses and influences' translators today who base their authority on these mutilated manuscripts to make people doubt the truth of God's verbally inspired word...

The Bible from Alexandria, Egypt, down-played the deity of Christ, the virgin birth, salvation by grace through faith, etc...

I have plenty more, as I just 'Love' the word of God... But beyond the word is a personal relationship with the 'King.'

Any question's, or comments... Shall I go on?:)

Jusayin, It all comes down to whether you believe in God, or not. God will never force himself on you, as I won't either. When you begin a journey with God, and seek the truth as you are doing, I 'Promise' he will show you things that you never could have imagined on your own.:)

Have a great weekend...

I hear what you're saying but the fact is people gain their "faith" from reading the bible and listening to sermons from the bible which happens to be corrupted as you're saying from a christian perspective that satan had his hand in it and from a historical perspective man did it.

The bottom line is the bible which claims to be the word of god and to have never been altered has been altered severely and several important books like the book of Jesus has been completely left out. Doesn't that raise a red flag and make you at least wonder why the christ you worship doesn't get his own personal book or writing in the bible which is based around him in the NT and more importantly you must go through the son to reach the father but, the son's book is purposefully left out?

If a person asked you to buy his product that claims to be a wonder item yet his studies and books about the product wouldn't be allowed to be released ever, how would that make you feel about buying the product or believing the validity of the inventor?

The fact that Jesus' book has been found, kept under lock and key and not been included in the bible should tell you something is amiss even more and christians should be in an uproar to see what their christ says in his own words which inevitably could be very damning because if they weren't, surely they'd be part of today's bible.

Also, christians should be asking for a true and complete translation from the original Hebrew and Aramaic texts. With today's technology it shouldn't be all that difficult but why hasn't that been done and why won't it be done?

Even if that was true, the fact that the bible hasn't been remedied and brought back to it's original meaning by translating it accurately and putting all the original books back into it essentially means that by your own beliefs that the people of today are reading satan's words.

So christians are really being mislead and following satan because "the church" hasn't corrected the bible at all.

As I said in the above post, christians should be in an uproar to get all the books that were ripped out put back in and get a complete and accurate translation of the bible so that they can finally and accurately walk with god because factually they're believing man or according to you, they're believing satan.

As many christians act today and how judgmental and hypocritical and self righteous most of them are and how many people are turning from faith can you see what I'm saying at all?

You all are being mislead and if you're really communing with god, why hasn't he instructed you all to right the wrongs and to save the world by just putting the bible back to it's original text and form and including his own son the christ's writings whom he needs and has put there to actually save the world?

So very true, that is why we need a personal relationship with God himself...'I promise' you that if you ask God for 'Wisdom and Insight' he will show you things that non-believers are not privy too... I will ask God for you today, that he will show you his great mercy. For this you will have to seek him, there he will be.

Matthew 7:7 I love this verse....
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you: For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened. What man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

God is the most 'powerful' thing in this world. Next was Satan, who God loved most of all, and also has extreme powers, but of darkness... Sl

How can you be 100% sure Matthew 7:7 is completely accurate and wasn't fabricated in the least? Take for instance the Hebrew word TIMSHEL in the bible. The single most important word in the bible was mistranslated probably on purpose as "Thou Shalt" when in fact it means Thou Mayest. That changes everything and the authors most likely knew that because there goes their story if the original translation remains. This life IS NOT predetermined as the bible says it is. It is simply man's choice to be good or to be bad.

You do know before Satan there was Prometheus and that Satan is based on him but the pagans/christians changed and added to it? Prometheus was actually trying to help man finds his way but broke the code of the gods by interfering. His actions do not make one fear him, they would actually make us like him and thank him for having empathy for man and risking everything to help us evolve. You should read about him as it's just as viable a tale as anything else.

The bible is supposedly there to help bring people to god by reading "his" words and seeing as the bible has been agreed upon by us and the fact that history proves it too that man has altered and corrupted it thereby making it NOT of god, how can one know what's right and what's wrong? If satan is so powerful and so engaged in defying god as christians believe and is to blame for the bible being corrupted and everything evil, how do you know he hasn't brilliantly made you all think you're praying to god when in actuality it's to satan himself? You guys don't give something so evil and so powerful nearly enough credit.

Basically if it's not of god, it's of satan, there is no grey area in a christian's thinking so all the preachers all across the world are spreading satan's message and that message was essentially your foundation as well as you're still quoting from the bible to this very day.

If I were you I would at least research your bible's and your faith's true origins and seek out the real truth how your faith came to be and see why numerous books were eliminated from the bible (council of Nicaea) and why your christ's own book has never been included in the bible. There's always a reason why one eliminates and does not include all writings or evidence in a book or document and a red flag SHOULD be raised with you christians and should not make you all just bury your heads in the sand as you've done for hundreds of years.

That's very interesting theology you have, but not completely accurate. As I am very familiar with the OT & the NT, I will just continue on my path with our Lord and Savior. He directs me, not someone I do not know on a thread...(respectfully)

Proverbs 3:5-6
5)Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6)in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.

*God shows me what I need. I will never depart from him because of a technicality over the devils lies. While I may encounter un-truths from time to time, I will seek and refer to my Magnificent source .... The verse above.

He is all I need Roger. I don't even need the Bible,(as I have scripture memorized) or to attend Church to make my God real. I have seen many a miracle, and know many truths that some will never know.

You see Roger, while I do appreciate your kind words, I also get a red warning flag from God. I trust him and his word completely. I would die by the sword for my God if I had to, just as I would defend a true friend... Take care SL :)
