(Disclaimer) Below is just my humble opinion... All views are welcome and respected.:)

Thought for the day...
We need to give up the illusion, that we deserve a problem free life. Part of us are still hungering for the resolution of difficulties. This is false hope. As Jesus told his disciples,"In the world you will have troubles". Link our hopes 'not' to problem solving in 'this life', but to the promises of eternity in 'Heaven'. So, Instead of seeking perfection in this fallen world, put your energy into God, the perfect one!

I've been to Jewish temple, and Buddhist temple, for "services" too. Interesting!
Good Morning Miss Percy, May I call you that? I was so busy yesterday, that I hadn't any time to respond to anyone really...Lol I don't care for days like that? Regarding your 'Wiccan Ceremonies', can you elaborate what it was like? I'm just curious that's all.

I have not. I woke up early and then went back to bed until about noon. I didn't even have any coffee today.

I just had lunch (left overs from last night ... I made baked Parmesan and bread crumb pork chops (I also use that for chicken sometimes .. easy to make and quite good), mashed potatoes and carrots).

I am going out for dinner with my better half tonight and will have to get ready for dinner in a few hours, too (we have to have the kids at the sitter by 5). So, I'm not sure I'll have tea today.

The day is going by quick. I slept it away. Sometimes you need a day of rest, tho.

Hi! I did the same. Your breakfast sounds yummy! I like left overs. I woke up early, heard the rain, and went back to sleep until 10:00 I, for the most part try to eat healthy, I just feel better, and have more energy when my food is somewhat natural... My friends call me 'the energizer bunny'... Lol For breakfast I sauteed (using Organic virgin coconut-oil) Organic spinach, Organic green beans and mushrooms (not organic), stir in egg-whites for protein, and wrap in a warmed up..(okay don't laugh..,I hear you) Lol )rganic 'Ezekiel' tortilla. Before I role it up (to add more flavor)I spread on a tablespoon of pure almond butter, It's all natural... You sound like a great cook. Maybe we can exchange recipes and food cultures? Would be a lot of fun and educational for me!...

The energizer bunny. <snicker>

Oh, I don't know if I am a "great" cook. My wife likes the things I make, tho, and I probably cook more than she does nowadays. I find that you can make a lot of things that taste really good just by keeping things simple. I shy away from a lot of recipes that have long ingredient lists. IME, there is little correlation to taste and length of ingredients.

I like organic stuff too and free range eggs, for example, but it is just so costly. I have 3 growing boys and we spend about 1.2k a month on groceries as it is. My food budget would probably come close to doubling if we went that route. It is more healthy, for sure, but, I don't think it's practical for a lot of folks ... if I were single and only had to provide for myself, sure ... but a lot of things would be different.

I would be happy to share, but I don't think you would touch anything that I make. I would probably enjoy your stuff, tho. I like healthy foods and pretty much all vegetables, except for lima beans. I always do a garden in the summer, too.

I'm more of a meat and potatoes kinda guy, and my food culture is traditional American, German, Polish, which aren't exactly healthy. So, I cook a lot of things you probably wouldn't consider healthy.

I eat pretty healthy for breakfast (except on weekends, when I make big breakfasts and lunch, tho. My normal breakfast is a bannana cut up in a bowl with some skim milk. Then I have a ham or turkey sandwich, low fat yogurt, and a clementine for lunch/after lunch snack. I am kind of a creature of habit during the week. I eat the same things pretty much every day for breakfast and lunch.

I like variety for dinner, tho, and like something that is more of a comfort food.

Weeelllll, I try to eat healthy, but I do like fried foods, So I stay away from them as much as possible! I never buy chips, because I would eat the whole bag in two days! eeek! I don't buy Coke, Pepsi etc... They are reeeaaally bad for you.(Google it to see, Lol) I drink Fiji water, and some low sugar juices. I do believe (for the most part) you are what you eat. Through Science, we have discovered that genetics plays a big role in our daily lives.(My degree's is in Science) If you want to try a fun experiment, eat really healthy for four days, and then have a hamburger. I promise your will notice the difference.(On that third day, you will notice more energy to keep up with those wonderful boys!) After the burger, you will just want to nap! Lol SL :)

<quoted text>Perhaps, but I think that's splitting hairs when in reality, we're discussing religious philosophy and that allows us our own opinions.
Here's a website and passage that might be of interest to those on this thread:
"There are two definable camps of agnostics on today’s crowded and often confusing philosophical battleground: strong agnostics and weak agnostics. Strong agnostics state,“I don’t know and no one can know if there is a God or not.” Weak agnostics would say,“Well, I don’t know if there is a God but there is a possibility that someone else might know -- but, hey, that someone else is not you!”

A gentleman in my family passionately states he is atheist, but also believes in what is essentially a mix of Eastern religions, including reincarnation. When I tried to point out he was actually agnostic, he wasn't very happy with me! lol
Hi Barbara, Haven't heard from you in awhile. Hope all is well. Thanks for stopping by... SL aka HA

<quoted text>Exactly! I remember when I was a little girl and I was outdoors at night looking up at the stars trying to think about where the universe ended. It actually hurt my head. I asked my father why my thoughts were so distrubing and he said, "Because our brains cannot comprehend it."
At the end of the day, it all comes down to what we want to be true to guide us through this life. For me, it's faith in God. I cannot imagine any other way.
There is one thing I am certain of. No matter what truth we will all eventually discover, the King James Bible is arguably the greatest piece of poetry ever written.
I agree, we must all find our own way! As for myself,I might not call it poetry, but the KJV is most definitely my favorite! SL

If I have some tea, I will sometimes squeeze a little in my tea for some citrus flavor.
