Good morning everyone...

Well, its the last Friday before the big game.

I'm still very much undecided who I think wins the game. Heart says 49ers, but mind is still confused.

I still don't know what to tell my bookie and this doesn't help. But I agree this game could go down to the last minutes. Which is what it is supposed to do. It's always nice to have the game more interesting than the commercials. Did you see some of the prop bets in Vegas this year? How many times the announcers say Harbaugh? Will 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick throw an interception? Will Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco throw a touchdown pass in the first quarter? Who will score more points on Super Bowl Sunday, the Boston Celtics’ Paul Pierce against the L.A. Clippers or the Baltimore Ravens? Leave it to Vegas to find new ways to take a sucker's money.

I'm still thinking the 9ers are going to win. Kaepernick's ability to run, gives them an added dimension. I bet he picks up at least one big 1st down with his legs. Sometimes that's all the difference.

yes, the props are kind of insane. I remember when the only non game stats props were only about the coin flip, length of the national anthem, and color of the gatorade.

Now its cross sport with tons of other weird props, just like you mentioned.

I agree.. He is kind of like Vick in his prime, but bigger and stronger. Baltimore has had 2 weeks to study film. If it was any other player, studying film definitely helps. But speed does not translate on film. And also, you can shut down a player, like a RB or a WR, just shade a LB or a safety on that player, but when the player that you have to contain is the QB, who has the ball in his hands on EVERY SINGLE offensive play, that's gotta be tough.

I don't want to think what the former Eastern Illinois alumni cost me this year. That last pick in the Washington game killed me. From now on I'm laying off Dallas as long as Tony is around.

yea.. when he just lobbed the ball over the oncoming rusher in the flat, without actually seeing the receiver.

that was pretty brutal.

I agree.

The best way to counteract someone like that is to have a really fast defense, not really develop special schemes, which while somewhat more effective at counteracting that take you out of your element and open you up to other means of attack. Vick never had much success against the Bears, primarily because of the speed of their D. Overall their D has been pretty fast for the past few years and I saw Urlacher (who, for a LB, was exceptionally fast (he's lost a step, tho, now)) run him down more than a times.

I'm not so sure the Ravens have that sort of speed on defense.

I'm going to have to say the NINERS will win. I want to believe that they crush the Ravens, but its the Super Bowl. I cant remember the last blow out in a Super Bowl.
Tampa Bay killing Oakland comes to mind, where the "defense wins championships" could not have been more right. but thats gotta be more than 10 years ago.
