Took the kids to school and came home--the pollen has got the best of me and I'm just going to stay in and try to get some sleep. But as I came back down my street, I had to stop to let two geese cross in front of me. We don't have any ponds or bodies of water in our neighborhood, so the geese are quite out of place!
Will Cov's diner be having a special on geese later today? lol

And why do geese have the right of way anyway?

Hey I have to ask what your new color scheme is or maybe it's an 8, covering your avatar, what is that or what hidden meaning is that?

I was thinking goose dinner! It was very strange seeing them just strutting their stuff across the street. I think they were lucky it was just me driving -- we have some neighbors that peel out of here like they're headed to a fire.

Truly strange to see, J. Deer are around here and seen quite frequently, but the geese were just so out of place.

Top of the morning, Ricky and Trish!

I'm mending. Not rapidly, sadly, but any progress is appreciated.

The weather has been wild and now wildlife is showing up in areas that are counter intuitive to their survival instinct. Not good.

Greetings and Salutations Ms Junket

Yikes

your thread has been invaded! is there a crib notes version? I haven't had my second cuppa yet.

Ever watch that BBC comedy "Keeping Up Appearances?" I was watching it this morning. The main character "Hyacinth" has a line she uses to describe her sister. One I always use on my own sister

"you know my sister Violet, the one with the mercedes, sauna and room for a pony"

It's probably not nearly as funny here as it is in my own head. But it is fair to say, between sisters, jocularity ensues!

I've been slowly reading whatever on other threads and this clip from a movie popped into mind:

Kathy Bates is a wonderful actor. Albeit, I did not care for "Harry's Law".

Oh my, I am terribly out of step today. The tracker seems to return one to their last appearance on a thread. Really, I do need to get into the habit of hitting "last page"

after all "an accident can be an unhappy woman's best friend" lol

btw: great movie - one of my favorites. God bless Hollywood for allowing a few of the less then "Kardashian" live to see another day!

hope you feel better soon

couldn't you have said the same thing but dropped the "old"? lol

It's the symbol currently being used for those of us who support gay marriage. Or a Rothko painting.

Greetings Rose of T! Topix has been giving me some trouble lately. Freezing up for whatever reason. I've had to "reapply" twice today and the day's not over.

The book was also a good read. King is a talented and prolific writer, but I tend to like some of his more unusual works. I managed to read "Cujo", but I gave up on "Gerald's Games" and I'm not sure if I didn't just give up on him entirely. I was delighted with J. K. Rowlings "The Casual Vacancy". I give that a thumbs up. She wrote in a style that reminds me of Elizabeth George.

What's a Kardashian?:-)

I started watching Britcoms way back - "Are you being served?" After that I was hooked on most of them. Enzlo is quite a character also on KUA. If you like that, check out "Diana Trent" in "Waiting for God". Good stuff. Love the unAmericanized English. I find just listening entertaining, even if I don't quite grasp all the colloquialisms.

Ricky! I'm with Rose - never would have expected you to get a kick out of that show. Sheraton calls periodically for ###, but otherwise never seen. The writers also keep Violet and her cross dressing husband very much in the background.

Here's a funny clip:
