Good morning, Lady J and all. It's for sure that Monday cannot be trusted. Got up this morning about 6:00, was really chilled, wrapped up, broke a fever, got wet with sweat, then got chilled all over again, wrapped up some more and went back to sleep. Feeling great now, so I guess I sweated it all out. Yep, can't trust Monday. Y'all have a good'n.

Greetings Perse and Ruby!
I was also furniture shopping - until the cooktop was reduced to 50% of it's former glory. How many pets does it take to destroy furniture? Only one that's motivated, but it's hard to point fingers since the dog and cats feign innocence. I ask and they look at *me* like I'm stupid.(Opened that door, please no one enter.:-)
Hope you enjoy your new couch, Ruby. May I ask what you ended up selecting? Frankly, I'm all done with the loose pillow jobs.
It's blue and white checked~~
Kinda reminds me of table cloth at a picinc.
My head spins when I have too many selections.

We only have one dog and one cat. Our cat is 12 yrs old and
prefers outdoors more than coming inside, especially when the
weather is great like it is here now.
I have to give the old gal credit, she has taken a disliking to
the new dog next door and runs him right up to his front door.
I've watched her lurk in the bushes then jump on him.
The old cat terrifies him...

Only this Moment is Mine

There's so many things we'd change if we lived our lives again,
So many things we would and would not do.
All the past mistakes we've made and the price that we have paid.
Oh, how we would live if we could start anew.

CHORUS: But there is no going back and we can't change the past,
Or turn back the hands of time.
Yesterday is history; tomorrow is a mystery,
And I know that only this moment is mine.

There are things we would never try and tears we'd never cry,
If we had known the hill was far too steep.
We'd have never tumbled down or fallen in and drowned,
If we had known the river was so deep.

So it's best if we forget,
The things we now regret.
For we can not go back and change the past.
Let us use those old mistakes, a better life to make.
And tomorrow we may find that dream at last.

Dammit! did you sneak into my house and get Tony's prized tapestry to have that sofa made with? LOL--life=sized picture of those dogs woven into a tapestry with the finest of thread. It's tacked to the wall (no lie), close to the Red Dog wall clock. Nothing but the finest of decorations for his "show room". That may be one of the biggest reasons I rarely enter that room.

In all the years I've known you, you never told me Tony has his very own man cave.
Don't tell Curlie or he'll start in wanting one...

He has 2 rooms in this house where he can have anything he wants. One is his "office" and is all decorated in '49ers stuff. It would be a guest bedroom, but nope! He claimed it as his office. The other should be a den downstairs. He has pennants strung all over, tapestries, his castle collection, lots of chess sets and his easel (for lack of a better word) that he has his puzzles on--dozens of them. There are also tapestries on the wall going down there and on the walls leading to his room. But, we only have one TV and it's in the living room so we watch together. Kristen has her own tv and Buzz has an old one that just has his dvd player hooked up to it. No one here is spoiled! I do not have a woman cave--unless you want to consider the kitchen as mine. And Buzz has a playroom downstairs that should be another guest room. I don't view it as losing a granddaughter and great-grandson. I see it as gaining 3 bedrooms (I may get a woman cave out of this afterall!)and 2 bathrooms (that will all always have toilet paper on the roll at all times. Pet peeve.

Oh, there are 2 unfinished rooms down there, too. One he has fixed up like a little reading room, and the other is his workshop. LOL--don't tell Curlie!

Please don't tell Curlie~~
Anytime I see him stroll out wearing a T-Shirt that's so old it has
almost no neck left and his overalls, I shudder.
It's project time~~translated~~burning precious gas running back and forth to Ace or Lowe's for starters.
When he says, oh about a half a day~~translated~~it's going to be a long two weeks.

I see a t-shirt with one arm cut off, but the other still in tact. WTH is up with that? It was too hard to cut the other one off. Say what? He's got t-shirts hanging in the closet that still have the tags on them. Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, etc. Anytime I find one I think he'll like, I buy it. Are they twin brothers from different mothers? At least he'll buy new socks and underwear a couple times a year. EWWWW--I don't think I even want to go there. Had to nag him for months to go buy new jeans, though.
